First, I will be talking about how skating first started. Skating was first introduced by surfers in the west coast who couldn’t surf due to bad weather, or weak waves. Often times these first skateboards were made from drift wood, and some roller skate wheels; which were probably stolen from their little sisters. These old boards as you could imagine weren’t very good for tricks, they were very narrow, had no tail or nose, and the worst part is that they had no pivoting axles, meaning they would have to kick turn every time they wanted to change directions, which i find to be very annoying. It’s also worth mentioning that this is where the term sidewalk surfing came from.

Overall i’m really happy I came across this information, it’s very important to me, and every time I skate I can look down at my board and appreciate how much it’s evolved and improved. I do hope you enjoyed hearing this information too, and have a good day.
