         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Japanese Koto, is a traditional musical instrument originating from the China. The Koto is made of a single wooden body (up to 2 meters in length), strung with strings made of silk that produce musical notes when plucked. Originally, the Koto was played while placed on the ground. Newer modern versions can be played on specially designed stages with pits in the floor for the instrument.</p>]]></description>

Over history many variations of this instrument have emerged, including the Futozao, Hosozao, and Hsugaru.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Shakuhachi is a Japanese flute that is typically made of bamboo. The flute now known as the Shakuhachi was developed in Japan in the 16th century and is used in many versions of cultural Japanese music. The Shakuhachi is usually made of bamboo, but other versions are made with ABS plastic or hardwoods. It is an instrument known to be used by the monks of Zen Buddhism in the practice of suizen (blowing meditation).</p>]]></description>
