Some stressors in my life are school, work and finding work, money and paying the bills, and relationship stress. I think these are typical things to cause stress in peoples lives. I have always been able to manage my stress very well. The number one way that I manage my stress is through physical activity. Being physically active is a huge stress release because of the chemicals in the brain that are released through physical activity. I also try my best to maintain a healthy and balanced diet and to get sufficient sleep. I also make an effort to fix the stress at the source so that it doesn't have the opportunity to get worse.

Stress is a very prominent item in the teenage life. I know that I, personally, experience quite a deal of stress in my everyday life. School things, such as tests, homework, assignments, and the fact that I don't understand half of what is being taught to me is usually what stresses me out. Dealing simultaneously with family problems, friend problems, and trying to balance a job and sports on top of that is not the most relaxing thing. I think that just the overwhelming feeling of having so much to do but little time

(continued) ... to do so is why we feel so stressed. It isn't healthy to go without sleep, but I know a lot of adolescents feel the need to do so because of stress. I believe that it varies from individual to individual as to how they deal with stress, but for the most part, either just doing something relaxing like lighting a candle or listening to passive music does the trick. Also, staying hydrated and just getting what you need to get done will help relive the stress, rather than procrastination, which causes more stress.

Personally stress comes from many areas in my life. School is a big factor in that. The stress of tests, finishing assignments on time, quizzes, the pressure to get a good grade because that will determine where we will go after finishing high school, and presentations, if people will judge me when I speak and what I wrote down to present. I end up stressing about if I know anyone in my classes at the start of the semester and if the teacher's are any good. I get stressed whenever I embarrass myself and think about it for the whole day and one day if I remember about it, I'd wonder if other people do too. With work comes the stress of making sure you're adequate enough so they won't complain and hope that I won't get in trouble. Working 8 hours 2 days in a row; Saturday's and Sunday's doesn't help with my sleeping schedule and getting homework done in time because all I want to do when I get home is sleep. The stress of not getting enough sleep is also a huge problem because I hate how school takes up most of the day and I like to get enough time on my own to do things I like no matter how simple it is, like watching videos, reading, etc, so I end up sleeping at around 3 a.m. I play piano and since I'm on level 9 if I practice fully, it would take over 2 hours, but I never do that because all I want to do when I get home is sleep from not getting enough sleep from the night before. I also have to make sure I don't play past 7 p.m. because we have university students renting out the place below. Then I stress every week about how I didn't practice enough. I always stress out when a piano recital comes up which is 2 times a year, and my piano exam is another stress factor. Another factor of stress is having to look a certain way because of my background, Asians usually want to attain an image of looking skinny, so that has also been ingrained into me. I stress whenever I gain weight and go on many diets because of it. I worry about how I look on most days I think. I also hate exercising in front of people so I end up exercising at between 11 p.m. - 1 a.m. Along with stressing about body appearances and weight, I stress whenever I get a pimple since I rarely get any so when I see one appear it looks very prominent to me and think others will also notice it. There is just too little time with so many things to do. I realize that my negativity is also not helping. Stress also comes from my perfectionist side, my emotional problems and many more.

Stress is a huge part of my life like many teens and peers I know. I personally stress a lot about school because I only have one class at a highschool this semester so people assume I have a very happy and easy life when in reality i'm at home stressing and upset about issues occurring. Some more examples of stress in my life are mental health issues, I have depression and anxiety so sleeping a regular amount(7-9) hours rarely occurs like right now i'm doing this padlet at 6:45am and just haven't slept which will mean tomorrow I won't understand any of the material and will have to reteach myself the lesson. I also stress about friends because of the depression and anxiety on top of being an introvert I tend to overthink and shut people out making having friends a literal nightmare. I also stress about family life because having divorced parents and them trying to figure it all out is difficult and i'm kind of stuck in the middle isn't a fun situation to be caught in. One way I handle the stress of all of these examples and more is by listening to music or just watching TV trying to relax as much as I can another way I distress is by drawing.

I try to make my life less stressful by doing this I enjoy doing or just laying back and relaxing. School is extremely stressful around exam time and the end of the year. Studying for exams takes a lot of memorization and getting a good grade is all you want. Personal mental health issues cause a lot of stress aswell always wondering and worrying puts alot of tention on yourself. the best way i get through that is just trying to focus on myself.

I have the pressure from society to fit in, and pressure from my parents, teachers and myself to get good grades. When exams for test come up i stress about the mark i'm going to get, also i stress about if i will have time to study for them and if i will remember the information at the time of the test. I deal with my stress by planing making sure i have time to study for test and asking my teachers question if i didn't understand something i reviewed. I try and make myself the most prepared i can and staying calm while i do so.

I think all these factors create stress because they are all happening at the same time and it can be challenging to find a balance. I have learned to handle the stress in these areas, and It is rarely an issue anymore. I do this by adequately planning my time day by day and creating a plan of the things I need to do for the week. I make sure to allow time for myself on a daily basis, which is a big stress reliever for me. I also notice that I am much less stressed when I am eating well, exercising and get a good amount of sleep so I make sure to implement all these in my everyday life to help reduce stress.

Stress is actually a normal part of life. At times, it serves a useful purpose. Stress can motivate you to get that promotion at work, or run the last mile of a marathon. But if you don't get a handle on your stress and it becomes long-term, it can seriously interfere with your job, family life, and health. For me, I do experience a bad stress because there is too much pressure weighing on my shoulder. For example, when I have so much things to do in Ambassador Program, volunteering, Works and schools, I get stressed. I do handle stress by calming myself first via breathing exercise.

Having school, a job, volleyball, homework, family, friends, boyfriend and time for myself can be a lot to balance at one time. I struggle with finding motivation to get everything done in a day because I run out of energy and want to finally relax when I get home. I find that getting lots of sleep and getting as much done as I can during school hours helps because when I get home late from work or practice the last thing I want to do is homework. Taking one day of the week to catch up and relax or spend time with others helps me get through the week ahead or having something to look forward to in the future helps me stay motivated.

I have always been a very tired individual, and some days, I find that I lack the motivation to complete daily tasks. This stresses me out because I associate taking a break, with giving up, it feels like I have just stopped trying and have become useless. Lately I have gotten better at finding coping mechanisms for the negativeness, however, in the past I was quite unhealthy with it and often resorted to things like being too controlling over my eating habits. I am still struggling with it, but now I have put my focus towards spending more time with my significant other.

I'd say that most stress in my life is caused by school and life changes. There is a lot of pressure put on to do good in school, and having to get everything done within time constraints can create a lot of stress. Another stressor along with schooling would also be the life changes i mentioned, which more specifically are having moved to a new place. This is stressful as everything is brand new and I am not familiar with everything yet. I usually deal with most stress that I experience by trying my est to be as organized as possible, or by finding a distraction or comfort outside of the stress that could involve something like drawing or listening to music.

Although there are a number of contributing factors in my personal life that take up the majority, school does play a part in that, kind of the cherry on top. I find education is often awkward for me. I learn more efficiently in class, staying more motivated, but focus better on work at home. I think my stress has a lot more to do with my standards than the actual work. I hold myself to a relatively high standard, that often isn't that realistic, and can be counter-productive in more than one way. One of which is being overly critical, and I can fail to put things into a progressive perspective. I try to keep a regular routine, eating well, staying active in my community, exercising, and keeping social with those I care about. I keep my social circle limited to those who I know won't give me trouble or add to my stress and are often just trying to do the same thing I am.

I like creating schedules for my school work, it helps me stay on track and know what I need to be doing that day. But sometimes my schedules start to overflow with work, and not being able to keep track causes me a ton of stress. Another thing that causes me a lot of stress is being in public places like malls, school halls, and grocery stores. I get overwhelmed by the amount of people around me and then I start to overthink my appearance because I am scared that I may see someone I know. I use many breathing techniques to handle my stress and I like to reassure myself from time to time that everything will be okay.

It is undeniable that stress is one of the major problems in many countries around the world. Some of the main stressors that commonly take place in my life are schoolwork and expectations of other. Schoolwork and exams can be stressful for me at times because I have to study long hours which leads to mental burnout and frustration. I think that maintaining a healthy work-life balance like time management or exercise is vital because it has significantly helped me reduce a lot of stress and increase productivity. Another thing that often stresses me out is expectation of others. For example, I am an international student, and my parents expect me to perform well at school. I feel anxious about getting everything right, getting good grades and being a perfectionist. One of the solutions I have found very helpful to handle the stress is to talk to people that I trust because it relieves the pressure.

Overall I consider myself a laidback, low-stress person, but there are certainly some areas in my life that I get stressed about. As the most introverted person in an introverted family, new and unfamiliar social situations are probably the biggest source of stress in my life. These events can be stressful because I tend to overthink how I should behave and what I should say, etc., since interacting smoothly with people I don’t know well isn’t my natural forte. I can handle this stress by making sure I’m prepared whenever I enter a new social situation, reminding myself it’s not as high-stakes as I think it is, and practicing being confident and respectful when interacting with others. And while my experience with school has largely been a positive one, I can occasionally stress myself out if I don’t understand how to approach a project or don’t have a good idea for an assignment. This stress is due to my high expectations for myself at school, which sometimes morph into perfectionism. I can handle this stress by providing myself with ample time to finish projects and focusing on just completing each step of the process to the best of my ability.

I mainly stress about things that I can't control, which in hindsight sounds silly and like something I should be able to just stop but it doesn't exactly work like that. I am very well aware that I can only control what I do but something in my brain tells me to still worry and stress about it. My school grades are a big one, along with homework and being on-time for things. Other world issues also get me stressed out like Covid-19. I put a lot of effort into everything I do especially school and I put a ridiculous amount of stress and pressure on myself to get really good grades and so when I get a lower grade, or I am behind in homework I start to freak out. I will stay up super late and be exhausted the next day just because I feel like I can't hand-in anything late. I think these factors create stress for me because I'm a perfectionist. It makes me feel like others will think less of me if I don't succeed at some point in something I do because I've generally been above average in certain things I do so I feel a responsibility to uphold that image. It's mainly for myself I think though, I just hold myself accountable and up to incredibly high standards that I wouldn't expect of anyone else. Honestly, I mainly use the fine arts, or nature to help relieve my stress. I've been trying to use a variety of different things that help because it's progressively gotten worse. Other than dance it often changes of what I'm feeling can help me in the moment. Dance has always been my escape from stress. Other things that have helped me personally would be meditation/yoga, drawing/painting, singing, hiking, etc. It really depends on what you find calming and that you are doing it in a different approach from when you might do it in a different situation. Dancing on stage would be a different mentality than when I'm stressed and just want to dance(freestyle). Stretching, meditation, just laying down for a bit also is very beneficial. My #1 option is always to dance regardless of what the source the stress is from. I honestly don't know works the best for everyone because everyone is different and my ways still aren't the most effective at moments, but trying out different things will always benefit you in some way.

I think something that causes a fair amount of stress in my life is worrying about the future. Although some stress is self induced, thinking about many things I have to or should get done in the near or distant future can leave me feeling anxious. I've noticed that what the main stressor in these situations is lumping all of the responisbilities together on one mental list, which flusters me very easily especially when I compare the todo's with the amount of time I have to do them. The most unhelpful but most common time I think of all these unresolved tasks is late at night when I am trying to wind down at night. It's at night time when my thinking is the most irrational and I often over inflate the actual problems and worry about possible outcomes in my head. I have come to realize that this system is highly ineffective as it takes away from my sleep schedule, and half of my worries are products of me spiraling at the end of the night and not legitiment concerns. What I've recently been doing to combat this stressful endevors is breaking down all of my worries into sections and dealing with them individually. This could involve getting up a bit ealier to make a game plan to get some tasks off my list, or even reminding my self that worrying about problems so far away in the future isn't worth is and that its more helpful to tackle current dilemmas to be more levelheaded for future ones. What helps a lot is remebering that some day in the future I will have all of these things done and it's alot harder to try and work when focusing on the bigger picture, instead of what's right infront of me. By taking things a day or a week at a time I am able to complete tasks more effieciently and rest easier. There still are the occasional late night worry-fests, but having a few tactics to ease my worries has definately saved my sleep schedule these past months.

Stress is obviously inevitable and very impactful on everyone, whether its positive or negative. In my life, stress seems to come from the most predictable places as well as some situations or thoughts that are undeserving to cause so many unpleasant feelings within me. I encounter stress when i have to have to complete school work or study for tests because i always put it off and then have to overdue it. I also find simple things like thinking about my day stressful. Whether its yesterday ,today, or the future, i feel stressed when I overthink the little things in life. Even small things like the way i reacted to a situation or said something can still impact my mod and increase the stress in my life in that moment. I think these factors cause stress because i am very easily persuaded into an emotion due to my own minds manipulation on the event or situation. I can create bigger problems very easily and i think it is due to past experiences, overthinking, and an overall goal of being successful. I handle these day to day challenges by keeping myself busy, on a schedule, and trying to surround myself with positive influences and to do things that make me happy or inspired.

The main causes of stress in my own life is my schoolwork as well as my relationships with my loved ones. I have high expectations for myself and this can result in me feeling guilty if I didn’t necessarily perform the best in my school tasks. I tend to overthink a lot which results in my procrastination which in turn can lead to me stressing about my schoolwork. Guilt is one of my biggest flaws because I can never seem to let go of my guilt and I continuously carry it with me to the point of self deprecation. Fortunately, learning and understanding school work comes quite naturally to me. However, my demotivation slows me down from actually completing the work which causes me extreme stress and discomfort.

My loved ones are not to blame for the cause of my stress but it is more so the fear of disappointment within me. I’m scared to disappoint my friends and especially my family. I feel as though I put high expectations on myself and then somehow convince myself that said expectations are what my loved ones expect of me. My loved ones always show and say how proud they are of me for even performing the simplest tasks in hopes to motivate me and I couldn’t appreciate them more for that. They are the main factors that help me handle stress in all aspects of my life. Unfortunately, I tend to be a very stressful person, meaning I chose to stress about the most arbitrary things even if they may not even matter. I'm currently trying to figure out ways in which I can stop overthinking which hopefully will help with my stress.

Ever since I was a young child I have suffered from anxiety (an extreme case of stress where you are very frequently anxious, a lot of the time for things you cannot control). I have experienced stress in almost every situation at one time or another. The stress I find myself most recently dealing with is stress in social situations. I am not sure why this causes me stress because I am not a person who is generally concerned with what other people think of me; at least consciously. This may cause me stress because when I am around people I don’t know, I feel out of control. I can’t predict what they are going to say or do because I don’t know them. In the past, I would handle this stress by just physically removing myself from the social setting. But recently, I have found that meditating and regularly exercising on my own time keeps these emotions in check.

I am a very anxious person so most things cause me stress. I wake up some morning and have a panic attack for no apparent reason. School makes me stressed, work causes an unnecessary amount of stress, and the pandemic is making all of it 10x worse than normal. I actually have no idea why these things cause so much stress because they aren't that bad, but I feel that the social aspect of these things are always nerve wracking. Stress and anxiety is a hard thing to handle, I find that music really calms me down. Sometimes I lay down on the ground and just take deep breaths. Having a set morning and night routine can also help relieve stress because it gives you a balance in your everyday life.

I've found recently that stress is a constant part of my day-to-day life, and even the smallest things overwhelm me. My biggest stressors are my relationship with my parents and school. The pandemic has worsened these stressors and created new ones as well. I stress about things I’ve done in the past, and how I could have done things differently; I stress about present issues, like managing my time within one day and getting everything done while still enjoying myself; and I stress about my future. I worry a lot of the time that things aren’t going to get better. I worry that even when the pandemic clears up, I’ll still be stuck in an isolated, antisocial funk that I can’t get out of, and life will pass me by. I cope with stress by giving each day a structure and a plan - this way I feel more in control of what’s going on around me. I find that I isolate myself for the same reasons - it makes me feel more in control, and I can do what I want to do without any disruptions. I also like to workout and do things like baking and cooking to keep my mind off things. I think that once life starts to look more normal and I can go back to being social and having new experiences, my stress will be eased, but I also know that it will always be a part of my life. Dealing with stress has made me more independent and resilient, and it even helps me sometimes when I know I need to get something done or perform well.

Another thing that makes me stressed is probably just family issues since its sometimes hard to control and deal with. I think these factors create stress because they are big and important parts of life. One thing that's helped me deal with stress is going to the beach and just hanging out by myself for a bit.

I think I am constantly improving on having less stress in my life. Of course there is always gonna be stress to a certain extent but I am working on dealing with my stress and minimizing it. My most common stressors are my relationship and work. I tend to overthink a lot but I have gotten a lot better. I stress over little things sometimes however we deal with it, we communicate the issue and it gets resolved. At work I feel stress because of my manager, I just try to do my best and I've started to work less because being there a lot isn't beneficial to my mental health. One of the reasons I don't have a lot of stress in my life is because I am a very organized person, and I try my best to take good care of myself and my mental health.

The major parts of my life that cause me stress is when I think of the future. I'm the type of person who likes to plan and try to see how I can progress by looking at possible outcomes from different actions. Sometimes when I think about going to University I feel eustress because I'll be taking courses I like and be able to watch shows with the volume up. However, whenever my mind starts to think up scenarios like having to transfer jobs or how I'm going to pay for the future I feel distressed. I think these factors cause stress because even if they are hypothetical situations my brain is trying to prepare for them. So if I'm scared about meeting new people when I think about it then my brain sees it as something it has to fix. Basically, my brain can't determine whether what I'm thinking about is a real threat or not. Often times to handle my stress I try to think in the moment or distract myself until I forget about the particular thought that triggers the stress.

I also really like listening to music or watching those breathing squares to help focus on something other than stress.
Here's the link to a couple different examples and explanations for breathing exercises -

I get stressed and I procrastinate when I have a lot to do because I like to do things well but sometimes I spend to long on trying to do things well that I get behind and get stressed. Thinking about what I want to do in my future also stresses me out a lot. I think the reason these things cause stress is because it seems like everyone has things figured out except for you. The way I deal with stress is make a plan of what I have to do to be able to finish my work in the amount of time I have. I will also take small breaks after finishing a piece of work.

Most of my life I have dealt with stress so now that I am older I have learnt how to cope with it but some days I still do find it quite difficult. The main thing that has caused my stress all my life has been between school and my family the two main aspects in my life. I think the reason i get so stressed about school is cause I am one to procrastinate with my work especially if I don't enjoy the class or the people in my class I find it no fun and find it pointless to be there. Over the years I have gotten a bit better and I always try to find something in that class to look forward to. As for my family I still struggle with that but most of the things I stress about with my family are unfix able so I have learnt to ignore the situations and live my life as well as I can and not worry about it until I have something to worry about. My main coping mechanism for both of mt stressors would have to be listening to music, it has always been a very therapeutic method for me and gives me a lot of joy when i'm not doing to good.

In my life I find I have large over-looming stressors, and then common day to day ones. School hangs over me as one large factor of stress consistently, but this will continue to do so until I graduate. My relationships with friends and family also cause me a lot of stress. I think this causes me stress because it causes me to overthink, and then I get very wrapped up in a situation that isn't as deep as I perceive it. There are some things that cause me both distress and eustress such as what my upcoming plans are for the week, or thinking about university. I tend to handle my stress actually quite poorly, and find myself feeling very emotional when I get stressed out and feeling as though there is no way out of it. I find being able to plan my weeks and set goals for what I want to achieve really helps me with stress that I can help myself with, but I think everyone has levels of normal stress that they can't do much about.

It was not something my parents could shield me from because it affected every aspect of my life. It has taught me to become resourceful and appreciate the little things in life more. The last stressor that affects me everyday, is my mental health issues. I have major depressive disorder, ocd, anxiety, and adhd. Ocd and adhd have been around my whole life, but depression and anxiety came on during puberty. Learning to cope with these chronic illnesses is difficult and I am still trying to be my best self everyday.

There's a great deal of things in my life that are causing me stress at the moment. Without getting into too much detail on the subject of my personal/stress-related issues, I can say that my diabetes, school, my social life, things at home, things "upstairs" (speaking of the brain), and generally the state of the world at the moment have been causing stress to dig its way into my brain. Coping with stress has always been quite tricky for me, I always completed stressful activities or duties and never gave myself an opportunity for release. Lately I've found that providing yourself with time, hobbies, or certain activities that could lessen stress will indefinitely lead to a much easier way of life. If you can eliminate everything that is causing your stress to build up, you can never break down. Essentially, when faced with stress (or a stressful situation), I just think about what I would rather do than what is in-front of me at that point in time.

The central focus of my stress comes from school. Whether I have too much work that needs to be completed, an upcoming test, a bad grade, or am worried about the future, the stress is always there. This stress can build and expand into other aspects as well. For example, if I receive a bad grade on something, I worry about about my course mark, and then I'll worry if that grade is good enough to apply to universities with. I also tend to procrastinate my work, because I seem to work better under stress, and hand in assignments by their due dates. The thought of university is exciting yet also incredibly stressful. This is because it will be a dramatic change, and I don't know what I want to go to university for, or if I'll even be accepted. I believe these factors create stress from a fear of the unknown and undetermined. If you knew you would ace a test, you probably wouldn't be very stressed, and if you knew how to do an assignment perfectly, you also wouldn't be very stressed. To handle the stress of tests, I try to study the best I can to prepare for any question I might come across. I also try to complete work as I receive it, but sometimes this can be difficult if I have plans or am too tired. I also hang out with friends to try and maintain my positive attitude, or I'll watch TV and sleep to take a break. Here is an article I found, which I think accurately represents how students feel in different school situations.
https://www.oxfordlearning.com/causes-of-school-stress/

Right now the reason for the majority of my stress is school and the future, i know its a very common answer for people, but it is truly so stressful and scary. I haven't even entered my 20s yet and I'm trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life, i know this is what we've been preparing to do since the first day of kindergarden but i always imagined it being easier to know what my purpose is. Ive always been expected to leave high school and go straight into university, but im not going to expect that of myself anymore, to lessen the stress, im going to give myself a year off to spend some time with myself and figure out what i truly want to spend my life doing, i dont want to settle for something basic and easy just because it will pay the bills.

The things causing stress for me right now is school, and work. I have had lots of schoolwork to complete the past while and not too long ago I started working a second job, so sometimes it can get very stressful to balance out working my two jobs, my schoolwork and spending time with family and friends here and there. I feel like these cause stress because schoolwork always has a deadline so sometimes I don't have much time before or after work to do my homework so I feel very pressed for time sometimes which can be stressful. I try to handle the stress by keeping myself organized and trying to keep a routine so that I can keep being productive and get my schoolwork done.

Stress has always been a reoccurring problem that I experience in my life since forever. I can worry about anything that I directly or indirectly think will impact my future. I can worry about my exam in a few weeks, worry about the loud thump downstairs in the middle of the night or overthink the way I just said “Hi” to some stranger and convince myself that I’m an antisocial freak.

The things I choose to stress about aren’t impactful or of much significance to my overall well-being or even my future. I choose to worry about things that I really shouldn’t, but once I’m consumed with only fear and doubt it’s hard to come back to reality and reassess my fears. The stresses in my life are created only by myself, and sometimes it’s hard to understand that.

Because the stress in my life often consumes my thoughts when I’m alone, or doing something alone, I try to distract myself most of the time. However, my distractions turn into procrastination and further my stress overload. Distractions are useful, though only for a limited time before you spend too much alone.

I’ve recently realized that spending time with other people or even seeing other people when I’m outside, helps me stay grounded and judge my situation a lot better. Spending time socializing really helped me improve the way I handled stress and judging my worrying from a different perspective.

Everyone experiences stress in their lives which is sad to say. For me, stress is caused by these three factors which are school, family/friends and my future. As a student these things may be the main cause of our stress because we are young and we are all in the stage of preparing and anticipating what our next chapter is in life. I think these factors create stress because all of them depend on you. You feel the pressure to do well in school, and by that, you stress over things like; getting your assignments done or getting good results. Also when it comes to the people around me, you want to do good to make them proud of you and feel acknowledged. Lastly, the future is a scary thing. I stress a lot about my future because I want things to turn out well for me and according to plan. I want to get accepted to my dream university, get a job, meet new people and have fun. But the process of getting to that point is difficult and you have to work really hard for what you want. Apparently I doubt myself a lot because I have the mindset of not being good enough, which then leads to stress and anxiety. I handle my stress in a very basic solution which is listening to music and sleeping.
Although these two may sound obvious to most people, but it actually helps me to get into a calm mode and it helps me to relax. Music is something that can make you think about something else other than the thing you are stressed about and sleep can be a great escape route when stressed.

Three major stressors in my life right now is school, family/ friends, and where I'm headed in the future.

School in general is a stressful place to be, things to stress about would be school work and when it's due, tests, midterms, finals, and even your social status amongst your peers. All these vary depending on the person, some may effortlessly cruise through tests and school work, but may be out casted by others or vice versa. Personally, school work is what gets to me, subconsciously thinking that if I put it to the side, I never failed because I never did it and if I did, it would've been so easy. Knowing this insecurity helps me see the flaws in my mindset and actions, the proof is that I'm doing this assignment right now lol.

Family and friends are a different matter, I grew up with tough love and hard shells with bitter hollow feelings, not to make my life really dramatic or show it off. It's just a little hard to express or find consultation about my problems with someone I know wont understand, which is lonely and stressful. A way I cope with this is by letting go of the negative feelings gradually, through doing things I enjoy or let it be with time. I had watched this YouTube video that talked about the mind and that your mind cycles through certain states. Like remembering a cringe moment of yourself from your past or remembering a sad time as well.

As for my future, I honestly don't know where to go, just going with the flow. I guess this part is a mix of my family/ friends and my expectations too, everyone watching and expecting great things from you is a little scary, no one wants to disappoint important people in their lives. How I handle this is by simply being in the moment and try not to be overwhelmed by everything.

the major sources of my stress at this moment would probably be balancing volleyball, school, and what i want to do in the future. As a student athlete, it gets very hard to balance volleyball with all the school work i get as a grade 11 student, with how much time volleyball takes up. this reflects on my grades because of how much school i miss, and having a lot of school work is extremely stressful. this also goes with worrying about the future because my grades what help me get into a good school. trying to balance all these things isn't easy for anyone. But some of the ways i like to cope with these things is making sure i get leisure time and get a break from everything.these days help me recharge and rest so i can get up and be ready for the next day. it helps me take my mind of school and volleyball and not burnout from all the exhaust.

Right now the major things that are causing stress is school, thinking about school after high school, and having volleyball. All of those play a huge factor, it's hard trying to balance all at once in honestly a short period of time. When it comes to school I'm worried about not doing good so I try and find the time to study for tests, but when its volleyball season my sleep gets reduced and I have less time to focus on my school work because I have to do both at once. The one thing that is really stressing me out is trying to figure out what I want to do for post secondary, I've left it to last minute-and all of a sudden I should be applying to places soon. All 0f these factors are causing me stress because I want to do good but in a short amount of time. How I should be handling the stress is by not thinking about it too much, taking a break from everything, and just trying my best.

The most stress in my life is school and thinking about university. Trying to keep my grades up and passing my classes and mostly trying to 100% decide what I want to do after high school and starting university applications and keeping up with my current school load. I think these factors create stress because I know how important they are. I handle the stress by trying to just have quiet weekends where I can have time to myself and just not worry about anything. I usually just watch tv or read a book. Having downtime to myself really helps me keep my stress level down because I am not focusing on what makes me stressed.

What causes stress in my life as of right now is definitely school. It definitely takes a toll on my mental health because of my bad habits. I tend to take a big overload of work that I think I can finish when I procrastinate it to the last minute until the only choice I have is to do it in a short amount of time. I am very good at neglecting things that are important in my future, such as school. As the term is nearing to an end, my levels of distress are rapidly going up. I can see physical changes in myself as well, such as not exercising, eating, and distancing myself from my loved ones. I believe as a student who is in grade eleven, has to take on a lot more responsibility because our grades now play an important role in our future. It stresses me out to think about my future because I am not sure what passionates me enough to dedicate my life and career to. I usually handle the stress by talking to one of my best friends about how I feel and expressing what I am finding difficult at the moment. They usually help and give me good advice. My post secondary journey has been stressful lately, but I know in the end it will be more than worth it.
