ALL SAINTS CALEBRATION

In Menorca , we celebrate All Sants on 1st of novembre. On this day, we eat doughnuts with lots of sugar and honey ("BUNYOLS") and we bring flowers to the cementery. Everybody goes to visit their deceased relatives.

CHRISTMAS

We celebrate Christmas on 25th of december. My family go to visit Bethlem displays. We have a christmas tree and we have presents. We eat soup and caneloni . We have a party, sing songs and dance. I LIKE CHRISTMAS ITS FUN!!!

THE PYRAMID IN ES BORN SQUARE AND THE TOWN HALL

It is in Ciutadella of Menorca.
It is unique because it's tall and big.
There's a mini garden around the pyramid and there's a town hall.There are some restaurants in the square.

CIUTADELLA PORT

In the port there are many restaurants and ice cream shops. In the port boats can park. The port is very beautiful at night!

Saint Joan

In Ciutadella we celebrate Saint Joan on 24th of June. On this day men dressed in black ride their horses into the town in memory of an old tradition. People celebrate it in the sreets. They sing, jump next to the horses and drink a the typical drink called "gin amb llimonada".

At night the knights with their horses play some medieval riding games.

It's very fun!!!

CATHEDRAL

It's very big. it's the main church in Menorca. It's in the centre of the old part of Ciutadella. It's a beautiful building. You can enter inside to pray or visit it. It's in front of the music school. There is a big square and there are many shops: clothes shops, ice cream shop, bakeries, cake shops, souvenir's shop,..

CARNiVAL

On this weekend, the entire school go out to the streets dressed up as different characters. We can not buy the costume. We eat bread with sobrassada (typical sausage) . Every year we go dressed as something different. There are many parties, concerts.. for children in different places of the city.

THE SWIMMING POOL

It's in front of the sport center in Ciutadella. It's near the industry area. On the second floor there is a gym. There are two swimming pools inside, one is big and the other is smaller. You can learn to swim, there are swimming classes available.
It's a modern building.

THE HORSE ROUNDABOUT

It's a big statue. It's very representative because it's menorcan breed. It's made of iron. It's near the football stadium and the petrol station. There are many shops around, It's in a commercial area. It's very beautiful. There are flowers and grass all around.
