The story takes place on Mount Jbel Toubkal, in the times of Ancient Greece. I know this because Jbel Toubkal is the mountain in Greek mythology where Atlas (a Greek Titan) is found, and that's where almost the entire story takes place. I know the story is in Ancient Greece because back then, people wore togas and believed in Greek gods, and that is what people do in the story. If this was changed around, the whole plot of the story would be changed, and along the way, the main characters wouldn't have met new people or had to take the journey there in the first place. The whole story would be different.

Many of the characters in "The One and Only Ivan" relate to characters from other stories. For example, Julia relates to a cute kindergartener named Ramona from "Ramona the Pest." They are alike because they both enjoy drawing. Another example is Ivan and. Torak (a boy living in the forest) from "Wolf Brother." They relate because they both live without their parents, or any other family members, for that matter. These are similarities between characters from different books.

Dylan-2/19 PR #2 "Who's That Ghoulfriend? By Gitty Daneshvari"

To start the story, Gitty Daneshvari introduces the problems in Monster High. One of the problems is that Monster High's headmistress has been kidnapped, either by "normies" (humans) or another ordinary monster. Another problem is that the new teacher, Miss Flapper, used to posses the school with some kind of hypnotizing power of hers, but no one thinks she still could be up to something diabolical. The main characters of the story, Venus McFlytrap, Rochelle Goyle, Robecca Steam, and Cy Clops, aren't fooled by her act. And the last problem is that the there is a spider ghoul in the attic, who the characters believe may be connected to the two other problems. These are problems that start off the plot of the story.

Yes, the story language does seem natural for the intent of the story and for the various speakers. To me, this means that the way the characters speak matches their personality. For example, Rochelle Goyle, is a teenage gargoyles, and gargoyles MUST follow the rules. It's a part of their nature. So it wouldn't make sense if Rochelle told everyone to ditch class, or if Rochelle followed other students doing rebellious things. Instead, Rochelle is always serious about her studies, and would NEVER ditch class unless it was REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, important. This is an example if how the story language seems natural.
