By December 2025, we will have a fully developed Flipped Learning Planner for each of the four HEAL subjects, specifically designed to support homeschool teachers. Each planner will include structured sections that enable teachers to:

plan individualised supports for each student,
align learning activities with their own school calendars, and
meet NTSDE deadlines effectively.

Success will be measured by the completion and publication of the four planners, ready for use in the 2026 academic year, with feedback gathered from at least three homeschool teachers per subject to confirm that the planners are practical, accessible, and fit for purpose.

By the end of Week 1, Term 1 2026, (OR, within one week of home school being onboarded) NTSDE subject teacher to Zoom home school teacher (NOT home school co-ordinator) to assist with and/or show HST Moodle navigation for subject providing them with whole school year view of topics and what the first topic is without the emphasis being on Formative or Summative assessment completion.

By the end of Term 1, create a networking opportunity (either online or in person at NTSDE) for home-school teachers so that they can build relationships and support each other to understand the HEAL content and how to teach it within their specific context.

By the end of Week 10 this term, NTSDE HEAL teachers will collaboratively identify, document, and plan to implement at least three practical strategies to support homeschool teachers in 2026 to effectively follow our instructional model and improve student engagement and completion within Moodle.

By the end of the 2025 implement structured feedback opportunities with home schools (surveys, focus groups, home school catch up) and plan for new communication initiatives in 2026 (e.g. regular check ins and course updates, orientation material, zoom conference early in term 1)

By the end of the second week of HEAL Home School onboarding, using Home School observations, screeners, data and information, NTSDE Dual School Co-ords to identify on NTSDE Compass (with red medical dot), students with special needs, formally diagnosed and/or imputed. NTSDE Dual School Co-ords to attain this information (part of pre-conditions). NTSDE CTs to confirm red dot is on NTSDE Compass for identified students.

NTSDE DSCs & CTs monitor new students intermittently throughout the year OR students not yet identified but displaying need for additional support.

NTSDE CTs seek DET SWIPS help (or PDs) when/where needed.

By the end of November 2025, enquire/discuss/review if NTSDE & DSCs can influence choice of DOTW (day of the week) Home Schools have as their Learning On Country. Is it possible Home Schools can be encouraged to have LOC on Fridays and leave Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as optimal IOL days?
