A trip to Carnival

Hi, teacher! How are you?
I'm at Brasil, at this time of the year they are celebrating Carnival, I didn't know what was that festival until yesterday, when a friend of mine explained it all!!
Generally it's a festival that has parades, costumes, people behind masks, bands, floats, confetti, fireworks displays, musics, dancers, etc. Is a very colorful festival!!!
And the coolest of it that people all around the world came to see this festival!

It' s a colossal scale festival that come international artists and have another things like a Ferris wheel. You' re going to like because the bests artists are there

The Twelfth Night

Hi, teacher! Where are you now?
I'm in Spain, celebrating the Twelfth Night, a festival that happen 12 days after the Christmas, so I and other Christians are celebrating it. The main purpose it's to the Christians think about the Three Kings, the wizards who visited Jesus and gifted him when he has just born. It is almost a prolongation of the Christmas.
During the festival there are lots of paredes, with people in costumes. People throw candy to children in street and also there is a lot of delicious food 😋
You should go to the Twelfth Nights and enjoy it. It's an amazing experience

Hi teacher!
How are you?
I’m writing to tell you that I’m at Brazil and at this moment of the year they’re celebrating june parties. This is an event that comemorates the birth of Saint John the Baptist, and the rural life, that’s why them all dress up like farm people.
They seem to be very happy. They have already put flags around the hole city. And at night they have made a giant bonfire. They have danced a “quadrilha” to, that’s typical dance of this party, they dance it in pairs a man and a woman.

Imigration fair

Hi teacher, how are you doing?
Every year happens the imigration fair.
I already went there, that’s why i’m goint to talk about it.
This fair is like a normal fair, but in each tent has a country, like germany, south korea, espain, egypt and more. And in each tent, has gastronomy or handcrafts of culture of the country.
Beyond the gastronomy and handcrafts has enterteinment, artistics and cultural manifestations like music and dance.
And more! Has workshops where you can make typical foods or handcrafts (my favorite is the eggs painting, from Lithuania).
I hope you enjoy it as much as i do!!

Come to tomatina!!!

Hi teacher, today I’ve gone to the tomatina festival in Spain. In this celebration people go to the street and then they throw tomatoes in each other, just like a war.
It was really funny cause people can throw tomatoes on everybody without have a fight or an argue. I also have made new friends during the festival that was really nice cause I hadn’t known any person there.
I recommend to you and for anyone who wants to visit Spain.

Chinese new year

Hello teacher!
Now I'm at China and here the chinese are celebrating the chinese new year. I'm realy surprised to the culture of China and the event. People here celebrate the new year with apresentations like the "Dragons dance" and the "Lion dance" who a group of 20 people make a choreography that helps to give luck and prosperity to the people fore the whole year. 10 minutes ago happened the most beautiful celebration of the whole festival: the lighting of candles! Now I need to sleep because I'am realy tired.

October “Fest” (Germany)

Hey teacher! Here is EDUARDO and last week i went to Germany, in the period of the October “Fest”, tipycal festival of Munique(South Germany) .
The festival is incridble, busy streets of people dancing, drinking and eating!
Thats incridble! Too many kinds of beers and different foods. They use to wear suspenders and hats!
I think October”Fest” was the more exiting experience in my life!

A Festival in India.

Hi Teacher. How are you?
I'm at India and in this period of the year the Indian people are celebrating the Holika more known as Holi.
Here at India Holika or Holi is celebrated in the end of February or at the start of March.
It celebrates the beginning of the Spring, it also honors Krishna God and the triumph of good versus the evil.And also promote the renovation of the relationships of all the population without discrimination of social class using music, dance and a colored powder thrown in the air.
After this celebration people exchange candies with each other and say "Holi Hai".
This festival had started before Christ and people celebrate until now!!
It's pretty nice!

Ohanami in Japan(Writing task 2)

How are you?
I’m going to tell you about the Ohanami(Cherry-blossom viewing)in Japan.People sit down under the sakura(Cherry tree)and have meals,music,typical food,たいちちゅあん(Tai chi chuan)(one exercise typical of Japan),many others.This festival is made many centuries ago and began during the Nara Period(710-794),before the appreciation of the sakura,they appreciation of the sakura,they appreciated the ume(the plum)*.One curiosite is the Japaneses are more interesting in the food than the blossom of the tree.Some special dishes are prepared and eaten on this type of occasion.
MY OPINION
I don’t travel to Japan or celebrate this festival in Brazil(*2).But ,I reasearched about this festival and some things are very interesting.

*The oldest people in Japan still celebrate the blossoming of ume.
*2:There’s one place in São Paulo have the sakura blossoming.The name of this place is “Parque do Carmo”.

Rio de Janeiro Carnival

Hi teacher! I'll tell you about the Carnival from Rio de Janeiro!
It is considered the biggest carnival in the world with two million people per day on the streets. The first festivals of Rio date back to 1723. It is celebrated in honour of the gods and to respect the great waters.
There is a special order that every school has to follow with their parade entries. Each school begins with the "comissão de frente" ("Front Commission" in English), that is the group of people from the school that appear first, made of ten to fifteen people, that
dances in fancy costumes that usually tell a short story.
