Sam, the protagonist attends a party on "Cupid Day," which is Friday, February 12. After leaving this party, her and her intoxicated friends get into a car accident. Following this,  Sam wakes up again on the morning of February 12. The story goes through her repeating the same day over seven times until she makes a heart-breaking decision that results from her character development.

She depends on her friends and follows them under all circumstances. In some situations, this makes her an accomplice to bullying.After taking a step back and seeing the same events happen seven times, she sees the errors in her ways and in the people around her. This makes her interesting because she is an extremely dynamic character who is not predictable.
