The circulatory system then transports the blood, and thus the nutrients, to all parts of the body where they are required. 

All in all, the circulatory system of the blood (cardiovascular system) is the one responsible in transporting nutrients and oxygen to all cells in the body. It is made up of the heart and the blood vessels that run throughout the body. The trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles transport air into and out of the lungs. The pulmonary arteries and veins connect to the heart and transport blood into and out of the lungs. The pulmonary artery divides into the right and left pulmonary arteries, which each travel to a different lung. Gas exchange occurs in the alveoli, allowing oxygen to enter the bloodstream and carbon dioxide to exit the bloodstream.
