“Mankind will not survive the disappearance of honeybees for more than five years".

This was stated by Albert Einstein and what he said worries me. I feel as though if humans are to blame for bees goign extinct, then we should be the ones to fix it. If what Einstein had to say about humans only having less than five years to live if bees ever go extinct, then we humans need to do something about this... fast.

"One of every three bites of food eaten worldwide depends on pollinators, especially bees, for a successful harvest." 

Since one of every three bites of food eaten depends on pollinators such as bees, that shows how important they are to humans. We cannot risk bees going extinct especially since we depend on them for our food supply. But, in the statement above, it shows that bees are not the only pollinator. "Since 2006, the population of bees has declined considerably (source). Pesticides, disease, parasites, and poor weather due to global warming have played a major role in this worrying decline."

If we have noticed that there has been a decrease in the bee population since 2006, why has nothing been done about it? If people are so worried about the bees going extinct then they need to help get rid of the parasites and pesticides since there is nothing we can do about global warming. During an interview, Bill Sprenkle was asked "What happens if we don't have bees?", Which led to the quote above. Even he is realizing how bees have such an impact on our everyday lives. We need the bees in order to live, so we need to find a way to keep them alive.
