A tip that they have included in this clip is not to take your whole student loan out at a time and just take it out year by year. By doing this you can possibly pay off that year in the summer that you are off so you are not accumulating the whole amount once you are finished school. One piece of information that is useful is just getting to know the tips in general. Student could really benefit from this clip if they are having difficulty.

One thing that was informational about this clip would be how this student could think being in debt can hold them back from being in their field but having a job will help people pay back their debt quicker.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFY-PgPA-Uk
This video shows the students point of view and their experiences with accumulating student debt. Student debt puts a lot of pressure and stress of people who cannot afford it. Colleges and Universities are accepting more and more students each year and the cost of tuition is consistently on the rise, however the job market does meet the does not meet the demand. There just isn't enough jobs for everyone. Students are left with debt and working minimum wedge jobs that prevent them from being able to afford their loans and living expenses. Student loans are not forgivable even when claiming bankruptcy so there is absolutely no way around it, people are trapped and forced to pay money that they cannot afford just because they made a decision to get an education in attempts to better themselves. As Brock Obama says at the beginning of this video, "no one should go broke because they decided to go to college."

When students are needing extra money for school they go to OSAP which is a government assisted program that gives out loans for extra money but needs to be paid back. It is good though for students because you do not need to start paying this money back until you are done finished school and the government gives you a reasonable time frame of when it needs to be paid.

This article says by November 1 of this year, which has already passed, student will not have to repay unless the student is making $25,000 a year. Something that was useful in this website was that it showed how much of a grant you can receive if you are apart of a low income family, middle income, or even student who are part time in a low income family.

http://www.debt101.ca/about-us
This website, Student Finance 101, provides information to past, present and future students on how to prepare your finances before starting school, how to accumulate as little debt as possible, and ways to cope with financial debt after graduating. They provide statistics, tools, research and blogs to provide as much evidence and support as possible to students facing the burden of student debt. They have a great calculator tool with numerous different options that relate to peoples situations and tips and advice for each one. For example, there is a calculator for people in school, one for people in payment, one for those in financial crisis, one acts as a money finder tool and so on and so forth. This website has a lot of really great information and helpful advice to those seeking some assistance and guidance on how to manage their student debt moving forward.

This image highlights two very descriptive words that relate student loans; unaffordable and unbearable. High costs associated with a post secondary education prevent some people from ever being able to obtain the necessary education to pursue their passion and dreams. Education and training is a necessity when applying for a higher income job, and because of this some people never get the chance to work in their desired field and live up to their full potential.

Having experienced student debt firsthand, I feel like nothing really surprises me anymore to be honest. The system is so completely broken and backwards, just when you think you've heard it all they throw you another curve ball. They make it very difficult for people who do not have money to further their education and live comfortably at the same time. Institutions charge a very large amount of money for what you get out of it in the end. The job market is not equipped to provide as many jobs at there are students, so we end up with a generation of people who are educated and stuck working minimum wedge jobs that they are overqualified for just to make ends meet. Personally I don't believe they provide students sufficient amount of time to secure employment before initiating the repayment process, and since many are only working entry level jobs, they simply cannot afford to pay hundreds of dollars monthly on a loan in addition to the living expenses. No one should have to chose between buying groceries and paying off their student loan for the month, but that is the reality, I have been in that same predicament myself. Before I returned to school to pursue my nursing career I was working a minimum wedge job and had the pressure of student debt hanging over my head. As a young person preparing for your future it is scary too because they harass you and threaten to call collections impacting your credit score and future credit status when reality is we are not choosing not to pay it, we simply do not have the means to do so. One thing I found interesting that I did not know before this assignment was student loan debt accounts for more then credit card, lines of credit and other loans and automobile debt combined. It is the second highest debt aside from mortgages, and there is absolutely no way around it. People who claim bankruptcy are not excused from their student loans, there is no way to vanish a student loan once it is borrowed, they will get there money and they will come after you hard for it.
