CAN YOU IMAGINE A TYPICAL PURITAN PERSON?

I imagine a Puritan like a really strict person, with steady values. I think that a Puritan is a obtuse person, because is mentally closed and egoist. I think that is not right to dedicate all the life to work hard and to religion, because, for me, a person need to enjoy his free time in entertainments. In my opinion the Puritan have a wrong point of view of religion, but, above all, they have a wrong view of life because the Puritan was just obtuse.
