         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Tokugwa was a very well structered and balanced.<br>2. The Emperor was the top of the rank but he was just a figurehead so he was just treated as royalty.<br>3. The actual ruler was a shogun named Tokugwa leyasu he was also the supreme millitary commander in the 1600s. He is most famous for defeated his rivals at the Battle of Sekigahara</div>]]></description>

         <title>Post 5 -  Christian missionaries</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At first tokugwa leyasu did not do anything about the Christian missionaries coming into Japan becuase he just thought they were Europeans wanting to trade. He feared driving off the Porteguese, Europeans and Dutch traders off becuase he did not want to disrupt trade. When it became a big problem he decided to just drive off the missionaries out of Japan and restore the culture they worked so hard on.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Japan sealed a closed country policy, that lasted more than 200 years. They only traded with the Dutch and the Chinese not the Europeans in fear of missionaries coming back.  Nagasaki was the only sea port open for traders. </div>]]></description>
