I thought it was really fun. It was a really cool experience and showed us what it was like for an evacuee. At the start of the day I was a bit scared because they were strict and scary but then I got use to it. First we had to make 🥕 biscuits 🍪 that were actually quite yummy. We learnt about the rations.Then we had to sew our anitials onto a piece of cloth but I accidentally kept pricking my finger on the needle. Suddenly they played the air-raid siren and we all had to go with our hands on our heads to the air-raid shelter. The air-raid shelter was absolutely FREEZING!
My favourite bit was probably the story at the end. It felt like I was actually there.I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was quite scared at first because I found the acting of (by the 3 people) really realistic! Although I said it was abite scary, it was one of the best school trips I have been on!

I think that Evacuation Day was an awesome experience, it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. We did sewing, baking, quizzzes and a bit of fun acting. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star rating.

Evacuation day was really fun. We got to see what it was like to be a child in the 1930’s.I really liked going in the airraid shelter, it was quite cold but it was still fun.We have been in an airraid shelter before at Sayers Croft but this time it felt more real.Overall I really enjoyed Evacuation Day.⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really liked Evacuation day because it was a better way to see what it was like for city children in 1939. If you sit down doing work all day you don’t get as much information as actually experiencing it. My favourite part was watching Mr. Maxwells performance about the Jews in Germany

I really enjoyed evacuation day because it was really interesting and fun. I really enjoyed doing the sewing because I have don’t done a lot of sewing before. I really liked doing the cooking and learning about the rations. The teachers were strict but I got used to it. I really likes the acting at the end that the man did.

I absolutely loved evacuating, it gave me an idea of what WW11 would have been like for a kid. We cooked carrot biscuits and they were so tasty but easy that I want to make them during the weekend. I also learned how to sew my initials on a flag. My favourite part was when the actors/ WW11teachers acted out the life of a Jewish boy who was evacuated and who realised that he could only take his most personal belongings. He was particularly funny and I didn't want the story to end, finally we got a taste of an air raid and what it sounded like. I loved evacuation day❤️🙃

I found evacuation day very fun.My favourite parts of the day are when we be told us a story and acted when he told us who weare going to move in with and when we went to the Airade shelter although it was very cold it felt very realistic . It was like we time travelled back intime . The story was very realistic and made you really think about it because normally we don’t really talk about what the Germans kids have been through.

I really liked this trip because it gave me a full World War experience from a child.We cooked carrot biscuits and looked at the food rations.It was shocking to see how much food that adults and children were allowed.Then we did some sewing.Suddenly we heard an air raid alarm.Inside the room it was dark and freezing.I can imagine how scared the other children would have been during a proper air raid.At first the staff were scary and felt intimidating,but in the end we found out that they were friendly and very caring.I really enjoyed this experience because it fascinated me and made me feel how lucky I am. My favourite part was when we all sat down and listened to the adults tell us a story.It was full of humour and made me laugh but it had a sad ending.I would give this trip five stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I liked evacuation day because they taught me how to sow and also bossed us around like children from ww2. I especially loved when the air raid alarm went off because we ran all the way into the air raid shelter which was really small so we all had to fit in to get away from the bombs , it was really cold, and the bombs were extremely loud. We also learnt and saw the food rations for an adult. They only got 1 egg a week. Children got 3 though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The teachers were scary and strict.

Evacuation Day was really good fun and it was educational too because it was like what actually happened. It was a bit scary at first because the three people who we were whith where acting really realistic but after a while it was brilliant. This was probably one of my favourite trips. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

‘Evacuation day was incredibly fun, the experience was unbelievable as I felt I was actually being evacuated’
The thing I thought was mouth droppingly realistic would be when the siren went of and we had to walk quietly and quickly towards the air raid shelter. We heard the bombs go off and we sang run rabbit and as we exited we all wondered where Mrs Hall.
I would rate this amazing experience a definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Evacuation Day was really fun and I now understand how those evacuees would of felt. One of my favourite parts was sewing the bunting, doing running stitch to stitch our initials and doing a border. The best part was when the air raid went off and I was scared at first, we sang songs to keep us happy while it was going off. I wouldn’t like to go out around every night not knowing how long you are going to be in there. Also the rationing was shocking, how little you get to feed yourself for one week. I loved the day, I wouldn’t like to be an evacuee leaving our parents. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really liked evacuation day it was really fun and we got into roll berry quickly it was really interesting. We heard a story, sowed our enitals in to a piece of cloth and could decorate it as well, we also baked carrot biscuits, I thought that I wouldn’t like them but they were delicious and didn’t taste of carrots. Evacuation day was also really informative. Throughout the day they would pick a couple of children and tell you that they’d found a home for you. They also taught you about coupons and how you could use them to buy clothes,we learnt that children got 10 extra coupons as we grow out of clothes and adults don’t. We also found out how much food we’d get, that amount was half as much as adults would get but we got 2 more eggs than the adults as we are growing children. At the beginning I felt a bit scared of the teachers but by the end I got used to them! My favourite part was when we went in the air raid shelter and had a sing along, I really enjoyed it. I would rate Evacuation Day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ Five stars as it was really informative and I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed evacuation day, It was a really good experience as I actually felt that I was an evacuee. At the start I was quite frightened of the ladies, as they were very strict. I really enjoyed doing the cooking and sowing, learning about the coupons and the food that is rationed. Also there was a loud siren that was sounded, we were told to put our hands over our head and make our way to the air ade shelter. It was very cold in the air ade shelter, and I can imagine now how scared the evacuees must have been, when each shell exploded! At the end of the day there was a funny but sad play, it was very powerful and that was the best part was this. Overall I had lots of fun and would rate evacuation day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
