My intention was to document and also visually interpret my dreams theme of solitude, abandonment, mourn, nostalgia and emptiness. I also wanted to illustrate the passage of time through these images. These images captures an empty playground, I particularly focused on the motion of swings, since I wanted to evoke the sense of stillness and introspection. The soft focus for these images were deliberately done to enhance the dreamlike quality of the image, which causes to create a contemplative atmosphere. Through this project, I aimed to explore the emotional impact of memories.

My intention was to implement the techniques she used into my own work, especially her use of intimate and domestic settings to explore deeper narratives. By using these elements into my own work I aimed to develop my skills in capturing the human experience through conceptual photography. This project allowed me to experiment with composition, lighting and also the subtle emotions of photographing people in familiar environments.

This photograph has a very strong contrast of black and white. This photograph is part of a project aimed at conveying a sense of ominous foreboding. I intentionally captured this building at a low angle, because I wanted it to dominate the frame till the point that it makes my viewer feel like the building is watching over them, creating an oppressive atmosphere. The clouded sky intensifies the feeling of unease the sharp focus of the shapes and patterns of the building was used to make my image even more dominating.

My intention was to explore the relationship between urban landscapes and the emotions they can evoke. Through this project, I wanted to reflect the on the massive structures that make us people feel small and vulnerable, highlighting the tension between the ambitions of humans and the overwhelming size of our creations.

Out of respect for her wishes, I promised not to credit her by name in this work. She preferred to stay unknown and I respected that. Whilst creating this artwork, we made very happy and unforgettable moments, we made so many memories together during this time. However, just as we were about to complete this project, she passed away due to suicide. Her loss hit me hard, and I was filled with regret and sadness, I also had to finish the project without her.

At first, I hesitated to share this work, since it is a very personal project and it felt too raw. However after a lot of deep reflection, I realized that her story deserves to be told. Through this artwork, I want to keep her memory alive and let her existence be felt. This essay for me is more than just a project, its a tribute to her life and the behind closed doors struggles she faced.

My intention was to convey a sense of chaos and an altered perception of reality. Through this image, I wanted my viewers to feel as if they are being pulled into another world.

I intentionally limited myself to only using items I had at home to challenge my thinking and composition skills. Every subject in the composition was chosen with purpose. The music sheet in the background symbolises a journey that inevitably ends, as all pieces of music do. The drawing is a coping mechanism I relied on in the past, especially in stressful situations. The drawing on the open page was drawn 8 years ago when I was feeling suicidal. The liquid in the wine glass represents human life. For the backdrop used my mat black portfolio bag, I wanted to black to emphasise feeling of darkness and death. The lighting I used was from a desk lamp, I used the light to help represent more life. I also used red coloured juice in the wine glass to evoke the appearance of blood. Since I made myself limitations, I didn't allow myself to go out and buy ingredients to make fake blood, sticking strictly to the limitations I set for this project. In this work I wanted to illustrate life and death, and that death is inevitable.

I'm fascinated by the malice and ruthlessness of criminals. Although being driven by selfishness and greed, many criminals believe they are committing justice through their crimes, whether it’s theft or mass murder. Criminals come from diverse backgrounds and are from all ages, which adds complexity to their actions.

My intention with this project is to illustrate the depths of human immorality. Humans can be far more terrifying than the concept of death itself. I'm very interested by how killers present their crimes, the creativity they exhibit in their methods of killing, and the ways they manipulate evidence to make it appear as like the victim committed suicide. Through this project, I aim to explore what I refer to as "the art of killing."

As soon as the audience enters, they will be welcomed with a brutally murdered piece of art (a sculpture) staged in a bathroom. Disembodied mannequin parts, arms, legs and torsos are scattered throughout the scene, with blood splattered across the walls and mannequins. Thick pools of fake blood and various types of blood splatters are created using techniques like spraying, flicking, and whipping the paintbrush. I did this to add to the gory atmosphere. The scene is dimly lit by LED lighting, I implemented the use of camera flash since it adds an eerie effect as the gruesome scene flashes quickly and suddenly at the audience whenever I press the shutter.

In this project, the audience witnesses me performing a one hour session as a CSI photographer, documenting the crime scene. I exhibited and performed this project in an abandoned bathroom within a college building.

My goal is also for the audience to immerse themselves in the perspective of a crime that has occurred. I'm interested in illustrating the complexity of crime scene investigation and how impactful it can be for the forensic photographer.

These images are developed and processed in the photographic darkroom and the size of all of these images are 928mm (Width) by 753mm (Length).

These images come with a poem I made, that goes with the images.

For this project, my intention was to produce images that capture the essence of chaos with their unpredictable patterns and textures. They remind me of the beauty and complexity found in chaos, where order and disorder coexist in a constantly shifting balance. These di-bonded images accurately convey my poem and my intentions.

I aimed to create a thoughtful display that blends images with words. The plan includes three large images, each measuring 928mm by 753mm, with a central poem print sized at 765mm by 619mm. I left 3mm gaps between each piece to ensure that each has its own space while maintaining harmony. The theme of chaos is central to this exhibition plan. The large images, with their abstract and blurred nature, evoke a sense of disorder and unpredictability. Inviting my viewers to interpret the chaos within. Placing the poem print in the center, slightly taller than the images, draws attention to the words of my poem, linking the visual images on either side. The poem itself explores themes of chaos, describing its beauty and complexity, is like a narrative thread that ties the entire exhibition together. The placement of the poem ensures it complements rather than competes with the images, emphasizing the concept of finding order within chaos.
