Another memorial part of the passage was when Victor copied his friend's scowl and figured out that girls have been giving him second looks. So far, the theme in "7th Grade" is to never act different for someone. I know this because of what is going on between Victor and Teresa. For example, Victor tried to scowl and ever since he realized girls where looking at him, he used it to try and get Teresa's attention. So far I think the theme is not to put too much attention on one person. I think this because through the first page most of Victor's thoughts are based on what Teresa was doing.
