This article states that a man who goes through the gender reassignment surgery and is given hormone treatments is still genetically a man, which is not wrong, but is just a mutilated man, not a women. It's not about genetics to said person, its how they feel after and f they can finally feel like they belong in that body. There may be more, as sometimes these people are reported and accidentally misgendered. The reports also include deaths where violence isn't necessarily the cause, but where hate and dehumanization played a part in their deaths.
