British limited westward expansions to colonists. They could not cross the Appalachian mountains
(Imaginary border).

Why did the British pass it?
British thought that this act would help keep peace between the native american settlers, keep colonists near the atlantic coast where British authority was stronger and allow them to control westward expansion and the fur trade in the region.

How did the colonists react?
Colonists got angry because some of them lived past the borders and were forced to move in the boundaries.

Britain taxed every paper good that was brought and shipped ti the colonists.

Why did the British pass it?
British needed money to pay off their debts from the French and Indian war. They needed to pay for the troops.

How did the colonists react?
Colonists got angry at this act because the thought that it was unfair for them to have to pay tax for Britain's needs. Britain taxed the colonists for every imported goods from out of the region/overseas.

Why did the British pass it?
British thought that the colonists would resist internal taxes(After the Stamp Act).

How did the colonists react?

British soldiers were allowed to find any house of the colonists, and use it for shelter and be provided with as much food as they needed.

Why did the British pass it?
British wanted to raise the revenue from the colonists. They needed space for their soldiers and troops.

How did the colonists react?
