         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Explain the Act</strong><br>British limited westward expansions to colonists. They could not cross the Appalachian mountains<br>(Imaginary border).<br><br><strong>Why did the British pass it?<br></strong>British thought that this act would help keep peace between the native american settlers, keep colonists near the atlantic coast where British authority was stronger and allow them to control westward expansion and the fur trade in the region.<br><br><strong>How did the colonists react?</strong><br>Colonists got angry because some of them lived past the borders and were forced to move in the boundaries.<br><br></div>]]></description>

They needed to pay for the troops.<strong><br><br>How did the colonists react?<br></strong>Colonists got angry at this act because the thought that it was unfair for them to have to pay tax for Britain's needs. They did not want to get taxed for things they have been using everyday.</div>]]></description>

They stopped buying British goods, which brought down Britain's wages.</div>]]></description>

They needed space for their soldiers and troops.<br><br><strong>How did the colonists react?</strong><br>Colonists got angry at the fact that they had to give up part of their living space and essential needs to people that they didn't know and wasn't sure if they could be trusted.</div>]]></description>
