Chlamydia often has no symptoms. Some symptoms can include but are not limited to: Painful urination, Vaginal discharge, Discharge from penis, painful vaginal sex, vaginal bleeding between periods and after sex, and testicular pain. Chlamydia trachomatis can also infect the eyes, throat, or rectum.

Pregnant women who have chlamydia can give the infection to their baby during delivery. This can cause an eye infection, pneumonia, or could even lead to delivering the baby early.
