Hello Yinsu !

I cannot begin to explain how much the hate & disrespect you received pissed me off, so I decided to start this project to make the kind voices louder than the stupid one. Hope you'll like reading all this 💜

You are genuinely one of the kindest, most talented and funniest person in the whole VCT community. Your streams are my safe place, your interviews are always the most interesting ever, and your personnality is just amazing. I could spend hours listening to you ! One thing I particularly admire is the way you carry yourself and speak about things, always with respect, thoughtfulness and good intentions. Reading your substack is also always sooo insightfull, and some of the things you've written have genuinely changed things in my own personal life too.

Please never ever change, we need more people like you : people who love what they do, spread positivy, laugh and roast everyone (especially FNS, please never stop 😂). Don't let anyone put you down, know you'll always have people supporting you simply because of the amazing person that you are.

This is starting to sound a lot like a W paid chatter message, but I swear I'm not 😉 you are so deeply appreciated amongst true VCT enjoyers !

i unfortunately havent been around lately as much as i used to be but it breaks my heart every time seeing you have to fight the negativity in your streams :( i would never wish the hate you are receiving on my worst enemy and i hope you realise and see how many people have got your back in this industry. ill never forget how nice and inclusive you were to me on my edits, watching and reacting to them on stream, even shouting me out on the official LIVE broadcast in Champs Paris (which i will never ever forget). you are the role model of the community that i always look to. this world is so cruel, and i wish there was something we could do about it that can actually make a change. it'll never be easy being a woman in esports, but you make it out to be so much fun for women who are thinking of pursuing that. you are every womans role model when it comes to esports. your voice is so goddamn powerful in the scene and i will never ever stop supporting what you stand for. the passion you have for making women feel comfortable and seen in the community is something so special. love you girl i really hope to meet you again so soon 🩷

Yinsu is one of the more reasons why I became such a fan on the VCTS, her in depth knowledge of the game and players is beyond her fellow colleagues and peers. I prefer to watch someone who will tell it how it is which people often assume/confuse with someone being biased. Her community is a huge representation of her and there’s alot of respect and support that goes towards her and other members of the community. If twitch mobile wasn’t so buggy I’d have her pulled up and go into lurk mode so I can continue to show support of her channel because she deserves it. Stay strong and never change who you are.

I've been watching VCT since the beginning but never got as hooked as I got when I watched Lock In. That's where my love from FNC was born. (I even got the opportunity to go to Sao Paulo and managed to sneak in to see the Lock In stadium at 9pm lmao). Then I started following watching VCT EMEA and the English broadcast, even tho I speak Spanish. I remember enjoying your work as a host and your personality, from then on I've been watching EMEA just to get to see your segments. I didn't know much about all the English casters but always felt like you were a friend (sorry for the parasocial!) that I could always rely to see on the broadcast. So it was sad when EMEA didn't signed you up for this year. I started watching your streams when I had free time (because for me VCT CN is like at 4 AM) and have always been rooting for you in your new path as a content creator, been trying to watch all your videos to help with the engagement because I feel that no other streamer is capable of what you do. All streamers just upload the raw vod of the matches they watchparty but you take the effort to get them edited and also introducing all of us to region like VCT CN. It's incredible how even tho I feel I still don't know much about VCT CN, but watching your streams have made me laugh and enjoy being a fan of several players and teams. Your podcast is a example of the approach many topics should be addressed in the Valorant community. To end this message and make you feel the real impact you made on myself: I'm starting to learn Chinese thanks to you, because you inspired me! ;D

I just wanted to send you a little bit of love after seeing your post. Please know that there are so many of us who genuinely enjoy your streams, your content and simply having you around in the Valorant community.

It really sucks seeing how much negativity gets thrown at you, especially over things that are completely out of your control. You should never have to feel like you need to justify supporting the person you love or being yourself just because Fnatic are going through a difficult period.

I’ve been supporting Fnatic for a long time, and of course it’s hard watching them struggle, but that will never change the respect and support I have for Boaster or for you. Results are part of competition — being cruel to the players or the people close to them shouldn’t be.

I really hope you don’t let the loud negative voices make you forget how many people appreciate you. Please keep doing your streams, your little interviews and all the things you enjoy doing. Dear Yinsu,

it totally sucks that people are hateful weirdos with no real life to their own name but i hope you can take still distance yourself from these kinds of people even when they're overwhelming especially during FNATIC matches. But letting these things get too close to you will just have an impact on your mental but also your physical health, so whatever it is you need to do to protect yourself, you should do it.

Remember that for every stupid ass person out there, there are at least two people who enjoy your content and love seeing you in the scene and root for you. You bring so much joy and fun into valorant esports and inspired me to believe that as a woman you can have a career in male dominated spaces and excel at what you do. Keep your head up and let's throw some people off the roof :D

I said it many times and will say it a thousand times more : Yinsu is an incredible woman. She was and still is the first woman I think about and look up to when I think about women in esport. She's done so much and still is ? Host, cast, interviews, streaming and with such a passion it's honestly so inspiring.

Yinsu, i really truly hope for you that you'll never lose the passion that fires you. I know the VCT community is driving you out so badly because it sucks A LOT. When I first got into the esports world in 2020, I felt very alone and worried about being a name in the space - at the time, i was helping build our province's governing board for esports. I remember following your work and seeing just how bold and brilliant you were in Valorant (my first esport that I cared about), and you really inspired me to become a boisterous presence for women in gaming in my area. I also want to acknowledge that watching your interviews - the knowledge and effort you put into making your guests feel comfortable and seen - made me a better journalist when I was going through school. I often think about how much you know when Im preparing to interview, and use that as a guideline for what I should know before speaking. There are a lot of people that really appreciate who you are and what you do. I'm part of the more silent/lurking community but I really appreciate your morning vct China watchparties, as well as the vct emea ones and the interviews

I'm also really glad you took the time to share some thoughts on substack. That substack about being the spouse/partner of a public figure hit home. I'm not in the spotlight as much as you are, but with the tiny bit of hate I've received (compared to you) was really difficult to handle for me and my partner since we've never been that exposed in the past

I don't care what anybody says, I can see for myself that you love what you do, you care about your work, your community and it's so refreshing to have women with a voice and not just being what others would like us to be (staying in a box, being silent etc)

I know it's hard sometimes but I promise there's way more people supporting you than what you might think

When I was studying journalism you were a great inspiration for me. I always had a hard time with speaking to people because I would get too self consious. Seeing you (seemingly) effortlessly talking with people and bantering with for example the players you interview really helped me! It made me focus more on the comfort of the person I was interviewing than my own discomfort.

I also want to say that your substack is awesome. It makes you actually think instead of just mindlessly reading (for example) twitter all day.

I just really wanted to let you know that I absolutely love watching your streams, interviews and podcasts. I have never seen a streamer create such a safe space for people and also players and coaches themselves. Whenever I’m in your chat I feel like I can just freely be myself and interact with others and share my love for VCT CN, Taylor Swift, Twice, etc. without getting judged. As a girl playing Valorant for me still feels kinda hard, because of the misogyny in game, so being able to still connect to it through your stream and in the space you have created is something I am extremely grateful for. i had originally started watching VCT because i kept getting reels and other content about Boaster and his dancing walkouts; i ended up staying around after watching you host, and now i honestly watch your watch parties more than i watch the official streams. after hanging out in your chat, reading your substacks, and listening to your podcasts, you have given so much of yourself to the valorant community and i just want to thank you for it even though the community doesn’t always thank you enough for it.

During Masters London you noticed that so many people missed out on the meet & greet and immediately decided to keep it going at the vitality booth. Also, later that day I watched you stream the games from the RB booth and you used the tiny break between games to go toilet. You are the reason I got into streaming and creating valorant content. I remember seeing you speak your mind and opinions, where others would avoid questions. You are a genuine inspiration to younger women afraid to take space and you are caving way, not just for women, but for everyone when it comes to being able to voice opinions, while being open to disagreements and conversations, honest, kind and keeping everything so smooth.

As I stated in my “complete the sentence” portion, Yinsu is inspiring. As a criminal justice masters student and someone who is wanting to get into law, it is a very male dominated field. My passion is also esports, which is very male dominated as well. I love seeing a strong, opinionated, powerful woman stand up for what is right when things of poor taste are happening. I think one person standing up makes others have the courage to do so. I also think she should be so proud of the community she has built. It is built on nothing but love for her, the games, the teams, and the players. I think plenty of people have met very close friends from her chat, and it is because she fosters such a safe environment for all. In a world where hate seems to be on the forefront of most interactions online lately, Yinsu has created a community where everyone is welcome- no matter what age, race, gender, language spoken, teams supported. I’ve read you and Boaster’s wonderful and insightful substack in my free time, and you’ve deeply inspired me during some of the rougher years of my life lately too. Whether it’s the way you brighten up broadcasts and streams, you work incredibly well with the people around you, or the way your personal anecdotes and writings on Substack that have touched me and my own personal life or struggles: please know all the efforts you put in your day to day life, both personal and professional, are incredibly felt. when i started playing valorant, one of my friends invited you to join us in a five stack and i was so nervous because i was SO exited. i remember the game and it did so much for me as a player, because at the time i was so stuck on playing „pocket“ sage and seeing you play viper (my fav and later on my main) on bind, was like taking of some shackles xd after that i started following vct, before i got to know you i didnt know there was room for women in gaming/esports at all. i became a huge boaster/fnatic fan and i absolutely LOVE the work you’re putting into all of vct and recently the podcast with meg. i am so beyond grateful for your influence and i couldnt put into words how much you have impacted my confidence and view of having the right to be a woman interested in gaming, especially since i only got my first pc 5 years ago when i was 23. you are an amazing, inspiring and smart woman and i‘m so happy we get to follow you!! <3

Ive been watching the valorant pro scene since its inception and have been with it through its ups and downs. I vividly remember recgonizing your face when coming on to broadcasts. But its wasnt just your face, it was your stage presence, your confidence, and your banter. The games were fun to watch but the talent kept me coming back. I frequented other talent communities, Sgares and EsportsDoug most frequently, and found deep joy learning and connecting with the people I saw as true professional presenters and performers for a product I deeply love. But things change. Sean doesnt get a good casting deal, or whatever happened and he moves away from valorant. Doug also finds a lack of agreement, and he also moves away. I dont know how things are going to look soon. I dont know if I will still be watching in 5 years, 1 year, or even a few months. But when I think about professional valorant hosting, I think of you. You and your talented peers elevated a product that was quality, and made it truly outstanding. Thank you for your time and dedication to something you obviously love so much.

I have been dealing with mental health issues my entire life. I get the feeling you might have too, and thats no fun. I am just saying this last part maybe for me, maybe for you, maybe for no one. Im proud of you. You are enough. You are valid. You are loved.

your watchparties (no matter if CN or EMEA) always get me through the day, especially on rough days. i love the vibes, especially during CN watchparties and i often have your streams running in the background while im studying. I also really love the substack posts, its just so cool to get to peek behind the scenes of not just your life and the stories you share, but also boaster and the whole shabang with being a pro player. you really do so much for the community, its too sad most of the community are braindead 13yr olds but i like the small tiny community we have in your stream.

Yinsu, I mean this from the bottom of my heart, you are an asbolute fucking godsend to the VCT community. I can't quite put into words how important your streams are to me. They are a safe space where I feel comfortable to talk without fear of being judged for being afab or being non-binary or being gay. You radiate warmth and acceptance, and it shows in your community, which is one of the only spaces on Twitch where I truly feel comfortable.

Not to mention the world of good you do for VCT CN. I've been following the scene for years, but never has it felt more accessible to stupid white people who can't speak Mandarin (me) than it does now that you co-stream the games. It's become my favourite region to watch thanks to you and your insights, and I know there are many others like me who feel the same.

I would like to start by thanking you, for your streams; the watchparties, the small gaming arc you had in the beginning of the year as well as the mountain of content you create for us. You're a real joy to follow and I'm really glad we can count on people like you to make the valorant esport scene seem a little brighter. Thank you also for making me discover the joys of VCT CN, for making it accessible and enjoyable for a "normie" (non-chinese speaking person) like me (I'm a convinced EDGer now).
It genuinely baffles me how stupidly mean and hurtfull some people can be towards you (and Boaster), we both know how hard it is for women in "men fields" and I think the way the community treats you is a prime exemple of that. As a person from multiple minorities (women, LGBT, neurodivergent and chronically ill...) I never once felt unwelcome or uncomfortable in your streams so thank you for that, not all streamers can do the same.

I've been following VCT for quite a long time, and ever since the first interview I've seen, which would be around Masters Tokyo, I fell in love with the way you handle things.

Since then, there have been terrible moments, greater ones, I've learned through your streams, your public messages on twitter, tiktok and things that we must fight the hate, and you and Jake did in the most beautiful yet simple way. With this message, I’d like to say that you don’t deserve all the hate you’ve been getting lately. I understand what you’re going through, and I’m really sorry that you have to read such negative messages. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to stop someone else’s anger. So I’m begging you, don’t let it break you — because none of it is true. You deserve love and respect, and nothing else.
Here, I’d like to let you know that you shouldn’t pay attention to them and to give you a bit of support 🫂 I’m sure you help a lot of people through your streams. thank you yinsu for being a genuine light in the vct space, and standing up for women within this bubble, which i think we all agree can be extremely difficult to be in the vct space, so it means alot that you do so much to updraft (w jett reference) women. i do regret not having the courage to speak to you during masters london, and its something ill regret forever. i also want to say thank you for the streaming, because it genuinely helped me to distract myself from moments where it felt heavy to breathe, i will forever hold that to my heart.

Hello Yinsu, maybe you still know me, we met one time at Paris Champs Grandfinal and I asked you for a picture and signature, but you needed to get water first. You cant imagine how much I look into the past and review the Champs Finals-Weekend and this moment comes into my mind. It was (somehow) such a chaotic moment, but its still one of the best in my life. Because of that I looked more often into your streams and you were my new safe-space streamer. I couldnt watch so much in the last months, and then boom your avg viewers were 10x as high as when I watched actively. This really shocked me, because how was this possible, that our little "part-time" streamer Yinsu was streaming daily watchparties with this huge viewer amount. And then the news came: You werent hosting EMEA games in the arena anymore, and with that EMEA lost so much positivity, entertainment and freshness while watching the games. Just remember, even if the people who hate you are mostly the loudest voices, you have thousands of people, including your beautiful and funny roommate, behind you. Maybe their voices arent that loud, but they are stronger than the others.
