Maybe we could do something like pom poms or tickets in buckets to stay with the idea of bucket filling. I think bucket filler assemblies are great, but there should be something like a school store for the kids to cash in their tickets. There can be visuals around the classroom and school to be a constant reminder whikle they are in the halls going to/from different places in the school. With that said, I think whatever is done needs to be consistent across all classrooms and special areas so students know what is expected of them. While small things can vary between classroom to classroom, the idea as a whole of what is being earned, why, and what the final reward is should be consistent.

We also need clear and concise guidelines that will be followed throughout the building. i like the Bucket Filler Assemblies, the post cards or phone calls home and a weekly incentive for students to look forward to!

The idea of a cart that passes through each grade level once a week is a great incentive for each child. We would have to figure out a quick and easy way to distribute tickets during the day, where each child would store their tickets earned etc....... and who would be in charge of the cart and replenishing it?
