         <description><![CDATA[<p>The importance of self care in school counseling is paramount in order to effectively support students' mental health and well-being. I am a person who has a hard time saying no and setting boundaries, which can lead to burnout and decreased effectiveness in my role as a counselor. Implementing self-care practices, such as regular exercise and mindfulness techniques, can help me maintain a healthy work-life balance and better serve my students. At my campus, I have seen my school counselor given non cousneling duties, and this takes away from her effectiveness in promoting a positive school guidance program.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My strategy for self-care is to plan one activity each day that brings me joy, whether it's reading a book, going for a walk, taking a bubble bath, listening to music or practicing yoga. I also make sure to prioritize getting enough sleep and eating nourishing foods to support my overall well-being. When I eat healthy foods and get enough rest, I feel more energized and able to handle whatever comes my way. This helps me maintain a positive mindset and stay resilient in the face of challenges. </p>]]></description>
