In Brave New World, Huxley creates a society in which the natural processes of evolution and natural selection are circumvented through genetic engineering, resulting in a bastardization of the natural order. The enforcement of classes designed to be either more or less able than those below or above them through genetic engineering is reflective of a rejection of Darwinian evolution and the disruption of the natural order through a refusal to allow natural selection to take place - "a prodigious improvement, you will agree, on nature", one character remarks. As this society and this subversion of natural order is portrayed in a negative light, this rejection of Darwinian evolutionary theory by the society of "Brave New World" can be seen as a reflection of Huxley's own view on Darwin's theory of evolution.
