Douglass was born a slave. He know his mother was a slave, and she lived on another plantation.
Frederick Douglass says, " Fourth of July is yours not mine. You may rejoice I must move . My subject fellow citizens is American slavery" ( 47). I think Douglass was born a slave, so he understood slave's feeling. He fought for freedom human from salivary and equality. He says, " I succeeded in learning to read and write."(45)

For Douglas, the desire of freedom as a natural stage of life, like the white boys of his neighborhood, was prohibited. Douglas says "you will be free as soon you are twenty one, but I am a slave for life have not I as good a right to be free as you have"(102).  Douglas at his young age elaborated a deep reflection of slavery and discussed openly with the boys , he felt powerless and hopeless about his condition.

Malala says, “I come from a country which was created at midnight. When I almost died it was after midday” (1). The author started her prologue giving an idea about her pain for leaving out Pakistan. Malala describes, “I was shot by a Taliban bullet and was flown out of Pakistan unconscious. Some people say I will never return home but I believe firmly in my heart I will” (1). It is incredible how independent the author have being attack and hurt in her own country she still believes that one day it will be able for her to come back to Pakistan. Our roots are deep inside us. We can leave our country, families and friends but all experiences and feelings will be with us forever.
