Choripán is a street food in my country. This fast food basically consists of Argentine chorizo, bread, tomato and mayonnaise. "Humita" is a delicious meal from the North of Argentina.
This dish is made of grated sweetcorn, onion, pepper and green onion. You can have it with some melted cheese.

It’s a typical hot street food in Tucumán. It’s prepared with a sausage wrapped in a pancake dough. This snack is very popular because it’s cheap and easy to eat appart of its unique flavour. If you want to prepare panchuques you need a special electric machine to cook them. This food is found in every street in the center of the city.

Argentine milanesa. It is a cut of veal or chicken.It is pounded until thin and then coated in breadcrumbs.Then you can bake it or fry it. It is usually served with salad, mashed potatoe or French fries.

Eat, drink and be merry. There are moments in the year that bring people together and one of those moments is the Holiday Season. Year-end gatherings combine feelings and emotions with long-standing culinary traditions. Holiday Season celebrations are such when we have food and drinks to share and every country has its own typical cuisine for the occasion.

Touchy, affectionate and demonstrative. Although these are features that continue to surprise foreigners who come to visit, they get used to them and soon adopt the same modality. And if an Argentine travels to other places, they are immediately identified not only by their accent, but also by their eagerness to enter in confidence and give hugs as if they were lifelong friends. Yep, that's how we are.

Because we do not know how to go unnoticed, it is not in our genes to arrive somewhere and remain silent. This is evident from the moment we enter any place and greet each and every one, even if they are complete strangers since for us it is something daily and "normal", we are all family, this is a very particular characteristic of our country.

Whether by circumstance or by choice, contact with others is part of our culture, it is our way of communicating and interacting. It is a way of accompanying each other, of continually remembering that we count on someone, even if we have just met them. Because being affectionate and treating others as if we have always known them, as well as the passion for food and football, is what makes us Argentines.

The empanada is a typical food in Argentina. Here, in the north we have the best ones in comparison with the rest of the country. However, each northern provinces such as Tucumán, Salta or Jujuy have got a different characteristics and little variations on the recipe. For example, Salta includes tiny slices of potato and Tucumán does not do it; on the cooking Tucumán makes the emapandas in the “Horno de barro” or ecological oven and Jujuy is used to frying them. No matter how they are made or the récipe, the emapanadas are an iconic food in Argentina and very well known in the world not only by their flavour but also by our culture.
