Tries to fit into the group and wants to keep up his image as a cool guy, EX; his Canadian girlfriend.
5) His parents wanted him to get good grades, he said he had a decent relationship with his parents.
6) His stress over getting a bad grade in construction. He has the need to be the best in every class.
7) He wanted to make his parents happy even if it meant stressing over school
8) The scene where Brian smoked weed, it shows that he isn't a completely good student, he wanted to follow the flow/ easily influenced, he hesitated when going to follow the Claire and John.
9) Brian learnt that being the best at everything isn't all that matters in life, he learnt to take it easy since he wouldn't be able to please everyone.
10) In front of his parents and the principle he still kept on his mask of being a good student, in front of the other students he was more laid back and was more accepting of doing things he wouldn't normally do.
When he speaks with others he isn't very good at being social, he would never talk back- when John made him change his seat- he mumbles and is part of many academic clubs- math, latin, physics clubs, his parents congratulate him when he does well in school- At the end of the movie the others convinced him to write the essay for everyone, When he tried to speak up the others would laugh at him or make fun of him.

Andy Clark belonged to the jocks. He was a wrestler.

Really cocky, and very masculine. He believes he’s a winner. Andy is very stuck up and kind of aggressive.

He always trying to proof how cool and strong he is by always trying to fight Bender.

He kind of has a softside for Alison. He would also stand up for Claire or Brian if John was picking on them. His attitude toward John is very aggressive and hostile because John always does something that triggers him.

He doesn’t have a good relationship with his father. He does whatever he can to please him and live up to his expectations.

Andy cant think for him for himself. He hides it by doing what people tell him. Scared that he can’t be as cool as his father.

Andy aspires to be himself and not his father. He wants not to be like his father.

The scene at the end where they were sitting in a circle and andy was talking about how he only does things because his father was talking about how much cool thing he use to do in high school and at first he wanted to be like his father and now he realizes it’s not worth it

That he is not as tough and not so much as a jock then he thought he was.

When he walked in he still had a very macho mask to begin with. As time went on we saw this mask deteriorate. He started to become very sensitive and opened up about what really happened and what is going on with his dad.
