Technology should not only be incorporated into ITC class. Instead, it should be used

cross curricular throughout the year in order to increase the benefits it has throughout the year.

The content of information you are teaching in your classroom regarding technology must be current, interesting

and relevant! It must also maintain a purpose.

I believe that, as a teacher, it is my responsibility to become aware of the

new types of technology and resources that I can specifically access in order to help

my students learn. There is almost an indefinite number of resource tools

availble across the internet which can push my lessons to become excellent.

I believe that the first step in incorporating technology into ones curriculum

and lessons is to teach internet safety to young learners. It is important to teach copyright and privacy issues as well.

I believe it is important to model good digital citizenship

to my students. Since elementary students are so young and

vulnerable, it is my responsibility to provide them with a

well defined idea of a good digital role model. I could foster this

relationship by using a classroom blog or website that

the student could access and see how I interact with them

online.
