I chose the band Metallica to represent the genre because they should a lot of the characteristic in metal music that I would generally not listen to. Metal music is the genre I listen to least because of the heavy instruments and lyrics. Most metal music that I have heard growing up have lyrics that I would  consider uncomfortable. The Instruments make me uncomfortable because of how fast  and loud it is. For most metal music I have heard they have guitar solos and they sound very loud and fast.  I do not like metal music but  I do not  necessarily think it is awful. I understand that it is a different style and some people may find to enjoy it. I think for that reason it is important to the social and cultural world because I believe everyone should have the right to express themselves. Everyone is their own individual and if Metal music speaks them then that's fine. I did change my mind of metal music because it is basically like any other genre. After listening to a few songs from different bands, especially Metallica I realized that it is not that bad. I still would not add it to my playlist but I do understand that it is produced by people who have a passion for music like all other genres.
