Ebert takes a kind of outsider's view of the film, having "never quite embraced Blade Runner."

He states that the film concerns who is, and is not, human and what it means to be human. Ebert suggest that the viewer finds themselves questioning whether characters who you can safely assume are human, are replicants.

http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/great-movie-blade-runner-the-final-cut-1982

The literacy review provides an established argument on Deckards replicant identity, encouraging the notion that he's just like the ones he hunts. He refers to other author's reviews to

confirm and rationalise his review. (Racheal's unanswered question, the 6 escaped replicants, the unicorn). Refers to Deckard's relationships with other replicants as one of marriage, melding and death. (Pris's veil, the death of most replicants). Roy as a Christ/ anti-Christ figure (the dove and him confessing to his creator).

http://reagle.org/joseph/1996/film/blade-runner.html
