The characteristics of this stage matches the age group in my eyesight. When we are children we are free. During foreclosure you have goal and interest but you do not have any dedication or loyalty. For instance you may have four generations in your family that are educators, and at the tender age of 10 you may chose this occupation because you have many family members that are and you may feel this is what you are supposed to do because that was the choice that several others have chose. 
I also feel that this stage you are starting to see you are growing into decision making and planning. During this period we are relentlessly trying and investigating things that we have interest in. For example I think about relationships around the age of late teens and early twenties. During this period  one would have experienced a numerous amount of life situations. Goals have been set and have been accomplished. There are passions that have been fulfilled! I am most definitely in this stage! During this period one may ask do you lean on other people's opinions and expectations of your life? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I am at the point in my life where I am comfortable in the skin I am in. I make decisions according to how I feel what I feel is important to my daughter and I. I fit in this status because I am 38 years old and I have been through some things. I can truly write a novel or two.
