Many of our values are impacted by society due to the fact that society molds public policy and the voices/values that are told publicly and on social medias. If society deems something irrelevant or wrong, then society will morph to have that opinion told to everyone within it. Society will never be made up of all people who hold the same values, but the majority can often attempt to spread and control what the others believe. In the case that some people are dogmatic or devout to some other belief system or doctrine, instead of conforming, they face a potentially hostile and unaccepting environment to them because they see things differently. This causes these people to feel exiled, abandoned, and lonely when they feel that they just have a different understanding of life and its values. Therefore, much of society simply goes along with what they are told, but there are a few that remain vigilant to their own code and will not leave it, this can be for good or bad purposes, but it is what makes society constantly progress, for without any issue or discussion, society would remain stagnant.

Values are created through personal experiences or from being influenced by another person. These experiences, weather it’s going to a concert and falling in love with a musician, or watching a movie that you end up loving because your friend recommended it, are all influenced by society. The movie was created because the director had positive feedback from the society. The musician has a platform because of the positive feedback from society. In addition, the values society brings can be both negative and positive. This solely depends on how you perceive these values and how they relate to your own values that you created based on where or how you were raised and the local society you were from.
