         <description><![CDATA[<div>For this unit, students differentiated between compounds, mixtures and solutions <strong>(CW4)</strong>.  They describe the properties  and composition of a solution <strong>(CW2)</strong>.  Students develop their own experiment on how to separate mixtures <strong>(NOS1)</strong> drawing on their knowledge from <strong>CW2.  </strong>They also learn how to analyse data from graphs when conducting a study on the effect of temperature on solubility. <strong>(NOS4)</strong> </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I found this paper to be of great use when planning for a lesson where the students were asked to create their own hypothesis and procedure on how to separate a mixture (Sea water mixed with sand.)  This lesson followed an inquiry-based approach to learning.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I found these worksheets, provided by Folens online, very beneficial.  The students developed their numeracy skills and their analysis skills with these graphs.  These were useful for when the students examined the effect of temperature on solubility, where they had to provide a graph for their results.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I wanted to research the effect of the Jigsaw method in more detail.  I found this paper very useful.  Although their results showed that the achievements of the 'jigsaw' group and the control group to be the same, they found the jigsaw group felt more important and participated more in class. </div>]]></description>
