Maybe because I come from a journalism/PR background so I've been deadline-driven for the last 20 years, but I feel like when something is due, it's due. Obviously, there are extenuating circumstances such as sickness, a death in the family, trips, etc., but I don't like the idea of turning it in when you feel like it -- it seems to me like that's not teaching responsibility, which is part of growing up and becoming an adult.
