The AATC is super friendly and is easy to make an appointment with.

2) Try your best and engaged. Realized that this course is meant to help you and is not desinged to fail you.

I was a bit tense when entering UWP 7, especially because it felt intimidating in a sense, however, because I was in such a small environment with only 17 other students, but we were able to build relationships so much easier. I feel like it would be very beneficial to get to know the people who you are in breakout rooms with, especially because most likely, they will be in your future breakout rooms as well. Getting to know them will remove the awkwardness and help you just be yourself when you know that there are also people you know in the same class as you.

Another piece of advice I would give is to get used to Canvas and Google Drive because they are the main things you will probably be using during this course. Google Drive was a bit confusing to me at the beginning, but after figuring it out, it helped me stay organized with which documents and files belonged to this (UWP 7) course. Canvas is one of the best things that exists in this course. It provides you with all the information you need: homework, breakdown of the workday, links, and so much more. It is also where you will be turning in most of your homework. Simply put, Canvas is like your phone, and all the things you will be using in this class (Eli Review, Padlet, Templates, Readings, etc.) are the apps, so use to the overall layout of Canvas will be beneficial.

A piece of advice I would give y'all is to check on Canvas what your assignments are and when they are due. This has helped me stay on task and get a complete on my assignments. You could also stay on top of your game by using a planner to put when your assignments are due. It's so easy and you'll for sure be successful in this class. The instructor also provided an agenda, so if you're lazy then just look back at that.

Another advice I'd give you guys is to just get it done. Most of these assignments are so simple, but if you keep putting it off then you'll never finish. So DON'T procrastinate. You're literally wasting more time dreading and procrastinating rather than just doing it (take Nike's advice).

At first you may be nervous entering this class and that is okay because I was nervous entering class at first too. My first advice I would give you is to make sure you check when your assignments are due and to maybe make a list of what is due and when it is due. It will make you feel less overwhelmed and you can become a more organized person by doing so. This can keep you on the right track. You should always be checking Canvas for any new information or to just stay on track of what is going during class. Another piece of advice that I would give to future UWP 7 students is DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP. There is nothing wrong for asking for help. In fact, it is always beneficial. Asking for help can save yourself from getting a bad grade or missing an opportunity. If you are confused on something then don't be scared to ask questions because the instructor will be there to help you out! You can learn something new or be able to help others by the new knowledge that you obtain. You should know that you aren't alone and maybe by asking a question, you can find someone else who is also struggling and then you can make a new friend! And last but not least, DON'T PANIC UNLESS YOUR INSTRUCTOR TELLS YOU TO PANIC! Don't stress yourself out when you aren't supposed to be!

Like most of us you are all probably doubting yourself ahead of time, don't. As I finish the course off I can tell you that this course is made and carved so perfectly for our our growth and improvement. While doing the tasks I suggest that you face the readings with curiosity. In this class you will learn so much, not in an exhausting way but in a fun and beneficial way.

I suggest that you always read rubrics closely to follow instructions that was something I struggled with but later grew in.

Another think I recommend is that once you finish a worksheet or reading don't think you are free to forget about it because all the work done in class is interwind. You all got this! I f you think your work is messy your in the right class because we would look at out writing multiple times until we are satisfied.

I know writing classes can sometimes be intimidating, but with these two tips and you should do just fine!

Tip 1: Try to really interact with the readings via Kami! Although reading can be somewhat tedious at times, you will be using these sources later in the class, therefore their content matters! So read up!

Tip 2: Since this class is unfortunately through zoom this quarter, try to interact and engage in the class so that the time goes faster!

Hello and welcome to UWP 7. To some of you, taking writing classes may sound intimidating or to some of you it may enjoyable. Whether you feel intimidated or prepared here are two tips that will help you succeed in this class...

1) My first advice is to use all your resources that's provided for this class. If you need help or are confused on a question go to office hours. I didn't attend much of office hours which is one thing that I regret, but attending office hours will help you understand this course and you are able to connect with instructors more easily. Also other resources to your advantage such as Kami, google drive, and Elie review to your advantage these resources will help you improve and advance in your writing assignments.

2) Try to interact and make connections with your peers. As well as engage with the class by constantly participating and asking for help. Being able to participate and create new friendship will help you on the long run because these are the people you will be with throughout these 10 weeks. They will be there to help you and feel less lonely and stress throughout this remote learning.

My first piece of advice that I would say is to connect with your classmates because they can help you out and you can help them. It is also helpful because sometimes canvas can get a little confusing. I get that it may seem hard because it’s online but just put yourself out there. Also use all the tools to its full purpose!!!! because it makes work so much easier.

My second piece of advice would be to download some of these tools such as canvas, email, google drive, google slides, and google doc on your phone because you may have to finish without a computer. Also check your emails and sent canvas up to be able to send you emails about what’s happening in the class.
