While the Virtual tour often fails to have the same effect on me as seeing the artifacts and models in real life, it is still quite interesting to browse through the early years exhibits, viewing the early biplanes and pilots pre and during the great war. These planes went from dogfighting and simple scout missions to dominating the battlefield of the Second World War when more advanced models were introduced. I've always had an interest in the evolution of technology and how it shapes conflicts so the tour showing the models, significant engineers and or pilots and their equipment was pretty interesting.

As fascinating as Art is (cough), I cannot say I am sorry that we were unable to attend this museum when we were in Paris. The statues and paintings are beautiful but the artifacts and architecture is far more interesting to me as I go down the halls.

Its so interesting to see how bomber design in particular has shifted from WW2 and beyond. The great, classic, and massive bombers that needed an escort are now quick, stealth craft capable of getting in and out with no problems. Truly a rapid advance into the sky's.

I couldn't get the Egyptian tour to work so I went back into the la petite virtual tour again and began looking around. I thought I recognized the painting of the tennis court oath but upon further inspection I realized it was a painting titled la salon. When I tried to read what it was about I realized the entire site is in french. So I just continued to look around and admire the busts and statues for a while more and wonder what exactly each one was about.

These virtual tours were very interesting and I feel it shows some of the stuff we would not have been able to see in class! Out of the three tours my favorite was The Remains of the Louvre's Moat.
