When I first approached my Grandma about working in her garden, the first thing she said to me was "I don't have a garden". I had to laugh and remind her of the section in her backyard that has plants in it. I got the chance to explain what we were learning in class. I explained that garden does not have to produce an edible harvest. I have come to define a garden as a place within nature that usually because of human interaction serves a purpose.
