         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>There are two unique species of animals that originated on the island of Newfoundland.  They are the Newfoundland Pony and Newfoundland Retriever.  The Newfoundland Retriever has webbed paws and water a resistant fur coat so is can swim well and stay warm.  The Newfoundland Pony is a hardy, gentle, and loyal pony and evolved naturally from European mountain and prairie ponies without human interference<em>The province of Newfoundland has very beautiful sunsets.  There is a place called Iceberg Alley where you can see icebergs that have broken off in the arctic and drifted in the ocean to  Newfoundland</em>.</div><div><br><br><a href="https://www.google.ca/url?sa=i&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=images&amp;cd=&amp;ved=0ahUKEwiXrOHJgPvWAhUS32MKHdmKBk4QjB0IBg&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.canadiannaturephotographer.com%2Fnewfoundland3.html&amp;psig=AOvVaw1Sg_uW9onWACRYRJfdjlan&amp;ust=1508444691551865">The Canadian Nature Photographer</a></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div><em>Newfoundland island has its very own time zone, the people in Newfoundland Island get to celebrate New years earlier than everyone else in the country it is four and a half hours ahead of PST (Pacific Standard Time).&nbsp; Newfoundland has its own time zone because it was a separate dominion when the time zones were established.&nbsp; In 100 AD the vikings landed in Newfoundland and settled for a brief 500 years.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>&nbsp;Almost every family has a snowmobile and skis because in the winter Newfoundland is extremely snowy.</div><div>Newfoundland is closer to Europe than any other part of North America except Greenland. This location made Newfoundland an important stopping point for airplanes and ships traveling over the Atlantic ocean.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
