- large pool of data (ability to reach wider audiences ) 
- time efficient
-cost effective
-can be deployed remotely 
-respondents can chose to remain anonymous 
-ability to gather both quantitative and qualitative data 

Cons
- data errors may exist due to non response (Skipping)
- may not be able to reach remote audiences that lack internet 
- open ended questions may have varying degrees of answers (non standardized )
- respondents may not provide accurate data 
- online surveys might be prone not spam bots 

Question 7 
Open ended questions as its name suggests imply that respondents can give a free form answer where a closed ended question is limited to pre set choices 

Closed questions - this will ensure respondents answer the question rather than skip and and will help in obtaining quantitative data that this medium of data collection is more suited for

Close: only can choose certain answers provided by researchers

Closed questions are more likely to be used in questionnaire because they are easy to be answered.
