The Anatomy of Curiosity

The Anatomy of Curiosity was an intriguing book on the different approaches and journeys of three novelists. Each one writes a different story that shows how each of them approaches writing stories. On the pages they leave notes and comments to help others understand their techniques. I love this book because I love to write and it was an interesting reading a book written by, and yet in the perspective of the writers themselves.

I chose this book as my historical fiction novel. I picked this book specifically because I was trying to go out of my comfort zone by reading about siturations that I am not so comfortable with. This ended up being a great choice for me because it helped me learn a lot as well as become more comfortable talking about things that I'm not comfortable with.

I started reading this book because this series was recommended to me by a close friend and I ended up loving this book.

I decided to read the City of Ashes because I had previously read the first book in the series and enjoyed that one. This book was enjoyable because it was more dark and it really showed the depths of the pasts of the key characters in this book. It also had a lot of plot twists which just made the book that much more interesting.

I chose to read this book because earlier in the year I had read the first book in the series and fell in love with it. This book was more dark and gloomy but it still had an abstract appeal to it. It showed how much love can blind you from seeing who people really are.

The Alchemyst was an amazing book that was quite different from the themes of the books I had read. It seemed to be a mix between the Harry Potter Series and The Spiderwick Chronicles. It kept me on the edge of my seat as I guessed what would happen next as I read. I absolutely loved this book and the clear effort put into the plot of it.

I chose to read Tricks because I have read other books by the same author and all of them were amazing. This book particularly was favourable do to the aspect of relatability presented in the book. It was about five different teens discovering who they were and who they wanted to be which I think is a common struggle for most teens. It was also filled with depth and the writing structure and style was incredible
