What's not working so well & may need to be changed?

INA feels that Maths is a slight concern when moving to next class (Will be a mixed Y5/6) is currently accessing Y3 maths - will be tricky to access this next year. Having an adult to support with this is still crucial at present as the work is heavily adapted and supported and scaffolded - if left to do the work independently would probably be working at around reception level. Mason does struggle with memory retention and this is not likely to change, and having the additional adult to support him with learning new skills and retaining them has been crucial to him making some progress in his learning. Would be a concern around his mental health if he suddenly didn't have any additional support such as this, would be at risk of EBSA. (Is now happy coming into school but was not happy to attend before - this has all changed since Bex has been working with him).

Next steps: School will be providing a costed provision map and an additional funding request will be submitted as part of this AR.

Secondary - Mum is currently not sure what will be best for Mason. He has said he wants to go to Uckfield college but not sure what support he will need/what will be on offer. (Sister has an EHCP too and is in Y7 and is in special but school feel Mason's needs are actually higher than hers were).

Next steps: Mum will spend Y5 looking at different settings on offer for Mason for secondary to make an informed choice at phase transfer.
