attachment because it really affects our development. Having these special bonds increases our levels of living happily and more healthily. In the textbook, (pages 301-302, Social-emotional development) it talks about how attachment can have an impact on our personality in terms of finding the love we need when needed and if not, how the child tends to suffer a series of problems. Also, what I found intriguing is that in Figure 9.24, they show a monkey seeking for contact comfort and the fact that this study showed that touch is more important than feeding is fascinating. To me, I find this very important especially when it comes to family. Your family are the most important people to you in the whole world, you need them on a daily basis. They can feel what's wrong without you even trying to show it, which is why we feel there is always a kind of attachment to them. For me, I'm very attached to my mother, she brings me back to my senses when needed to, and gives me the hugs that I always need. I feel we can't live without human touch, we need this feeling, connection in the world. It really reminds me of a movie I watched(still watch it) called Five Feet Apart, that really shows us how important human contact is.

Based on my score, I tend to be self-motivated and spend time planning my goals, which is true, I'm a planner. I believe the book calls it achievement motivation, I've also had the instinct of achieving my goals, getting where i believe i should be. According to the textbook, page 364, section Extrinsic versus Intrinsic Motivation, intrinsic motivation is a type of motivation that is based on internal reasons like entertainment and your own satisfaction. I don't like to achieve my tasks just to show off, to get rewards or praise from anyone. I like to do it for me, for my own success and enjoyment. Because when you start doing things for yourself, you find not only you enjoy yourself but you feel happier doing it from the heart.

The quiz reveals my enthusiasm for learning from mistakes and embracing diverse experiences. My self-confidence developed gradually through encountering various situations rather than being a “natural”. I was recognized for being "smart," not because I want to show off but due to others identifying it as my defining quality, almost an expectation where I seemed to have answers to everything. Personality, in my opinion, is complex. We are numerous things and can't be defined to a single label given life's complexity. Yet, society often attempts to categorize individuals into specific shapes of personality. Bandura's Theory, discussed in Chapter 12, page 414, supports this idea by proposing that personality arises from reciprocal determinism—a mix of internal factors, environment, and individual behavior. It's accurate that the environment can significantly impact one's personality, but it's our response to these influences that determines their importance in shaping who we become.

After reading the results of my quiz, I felt that it's relatable to a rate. I don't believe in luck but I do believe that there are some situations that we can't control. When it comes to the future, I feel it is in my own hand like mentioned. Because it's the road that I'm choosing to put on myself along with all the incoming obstacles. However, there are some places where I have to accept it as it is because of my lack of control. For example, if I worked hard on something and it didn't work out, it's fate but doesn't mean I'll stop trying. It really depends on different circumstances in different locations.

Phew... It's a lot to think of! One of the most interesting things I learned was stress management. Believe it or not, I never know that there is such a thing where they fall under two categories; problem and emotion focused coping. All I've always known is if you have stress because of something, deal with it, go to the next one and so on. In chapter 3, page 91, Cognitive appraisal, Sigmund Freud mentioned how helpful emotional coping could be, and I find that true. You can't always cope with stress by solving the problem. You have to let yourself feel your emotions. We all know stress makes us anxious and sometimes angry in some scenarios, and if we can direct that into something useful to us to ease those feelings, we will feel more relaxed and clear in the head to get back to that "hard task". Another thing that I found intriguing and kind of stuck in my mind is Stranberg's theory of intelligence because he talks about how we should apply our intelligence into real world challenges. Everyone has their unique way of intelligence and because of that we accomplish specific goals. I’ve always found myself a logistic person, solving them in a practical way. I depend on experience, hands-on problems and take actions when necessary.

When reading Chapter 13, I felt it was one of the series chapters we learned. We discussed in Chapter 13, section 2, page 428 about anxiety disorder, where it is described as one of the psychological disorders that feel uncontrollable fear and anxiety which interpret our daily basic task. Anxiety disorder is important because I feel it is very common in the world. Some doesn't recognize it as a disorder, they link it to stress, being overwhelmed and many other factors. People are unaware, and let the fact slip, that this type of disorder may lead to difficulties and problems if not dealt with. Another important aspect in the chapter is suicide. Suicide is a serious and dangerous matter because it is not understood by many people. In other words, people can't diagnose their friend's symptoms because it is very complex. In page 452, suicide, they mention how suicide doesn't involve specific people but many people that are well known, which means no matter where u find your position in life, it doesn't mean that if someone have something more than you do, that would make them more happier or less depressed than you are. And that is the problem in our world, we think who has the better "work position", the more money, is living the best life. And the irony is that because people think that way, they influence those people and some would even feel guilt or "wrong" which lead to those negative thoughts and feelings. Everyone faces challenges and everyone deals with it differently, it is how we approach it with ourselves or with others. We should change our society's thinking first, to start dealing with the real problem.

To be honest, I really enjoyed the class, I never felt it was a struggle and felt that I could come to this class to be myself and talk freely (because I have three other science classes, so if you know, you know). I liked that the class was diverse, I tried a lot of different apps/websites and really enjoyed the experience. However, It's not a dislike in general, but I felt sometimes it was a lot of reading in terms of the chapters and terms to know that was kind of tricky. But the assignments were easier so that was a win. Also, some of the times, the time limit for the exam was kind of overwhelming, where you feel you are out of time, but was manageable in general. I am being completely honest when I say there is nothing to change on my behalf, the class was fun, the assignments as well, your teaching style was great and you did an amazing job truly. Overall, I thank you for making this semester bearable, you don't imagine. Having such a kind professor like you is a blessing and I wish you all the best! Thank you for all of what you've done!
