In Frankenstein, Victor completely abandons his responsibility of caring and nurturing his Creation. Similarly, in Never Let Me Go, there's never a mention of parents to all the children in the book and instead they've all been sent to a boarding school where they've been taught to have no individuality and to mimic one another/ the models. Personally, I believe that how the lives brought into the world have been raised is what causes the downfall in the plot. The Creature had no guidance and the students have no individuality.

In Frankenstein, Victor creates his creature for the sole purpose of exploration, but once the creature was created, he did not take care of the creature, making Victor unethical. In Never Let Me Go, when the clones are created, they are taken care of very well, but the what they only find special in them is being creative, and they're only taken care of for the purpose of their donations and the artistic ways that they contain. They Are being creative to be harvested. (their organs)

In Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the creature is raised by nature because his creator, Victor Frankenstein, abandoned him and left him to fend for himself. In Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go, the clones are strictly nurtured and are raised under expectations and restrictions. Even though both these characters were raised and taught differently, they still managed to have some sort of free will.

In never let me go, they are taken care of *better* so its slightly more ethical.

We agree with Frankenstein as the creature does believe and blame Victor for everything that had happen since Victor brought him into this world. We agree with Never Let Me Go for the first part, but also we realize that Tommy and Kathy might have their own reservations because of Miss Lucy's contradictory actions of saying that she should have said those things to Tommy or her saying that they're not learning the things they have to. We somewhat disagree with #3 because they weren't taught that their creators were all powerful since they weren't actually taught; in Never Let Me Go, the guardians actually implied that the students were more special as they must be perfect.

However, even though the children in NLMG were brought into the world this way, I don't believe that is the reason for the downfall in the plot. I think the downfall pertains more to why these children were being raised, which is to have their organs harvested.

Similarly in Never Let Me Go, these children seem to be treated more like robots or experiments than children, there seems to be no sign of parents or being nurtured, instead just being kept alive to be used. I believe both Victor and the creators of the children failed at their responsibilities of raising their creations, however, I think Victor did a worse job compared to Never Let Me Go.

I agree with the first point stated, since it is heavily conveyed that the Creature perceives Victo as sort of this god-like-figure. In addition, he goes as far as even stating that he compares Victor to God in the book, "Paradise Lost." This realization that Frankenstein is this authoritarian leads the Creature to later blame him for all his misery and hurt in the story. While in the story, "Never Let Me Go,' the students (clones) sort of view the faculty as some sort of authoritative prescence, believing that they know what is best and would somewhat blindly follow them, however I don't believe that the students hold them is some godly position. They only know that they are there to help guide them in the school
