“I am very bias for skiers. I do not like snowboarders. Here are my reasons why: First of all,  I am a skier myself and I have skied my whole life. (since I was two) I have never tried snowboarding. That leads me to my first problem with them: I do not like that you can't really move your feet. It looks dangerous and scary for me.   Second, they scrape snow off steep hills and make them icy. There is only one thing you stand on when snowboarding and usually when a snowboarder goes down the hill they just lean a bit back and just go down. It scrapes the snow off where they go down and gets it all icy and it annoys me so much! Lastly, if you ever sit next to someone who is a snowboarder on a chairlift it can get annoying. The person's board is hanging everywhere and sometimes just sits on your on skis! Most chairlifts have bars and when you pull down the bars there are places to put your skis. Not snowboards! sometimes I just want to shove them off!   I I always want to deny and argue with someone who thinks that snowboarders are better Of course this is just me being bias towards something I have never tried.”

I think that this person deserves a 4. I think this because they discovered their bias, showed how much that they unfairly hate the other topic, and was very upset with the opposing topic. This is slightly an opinion piece because they have reasons, but they then showed their bias later on in this response. This piece definitely deserves a 4.

The reason I chose this one was because it was more like a book.I will give you some reasons why I think that it would be easy to read.
1.I think that it would be easy for me to read is because I am used to reading books that way and that is how a book is supposed to be written in my opinion.
2. It will be easier for me to  get what is going on and where or how something happened. I believe that it is also A “ proper” way to write some thing unless it is a poem. If this story was a poem you could still write it like it was a book or write it as a poem.
3. We are supposed to write stories as paragraphs because that is how we where
Taught and that is the proper way, now that is just my opinion on how you could write and I am not trying to say that you can not write that way I am just saying that it the way I would do it.

Tone is the author’s attitude toward a subject. While journalistic writing theoretically has a tone of distance and objectivity, all other writing can have various tones.

If we were to read a description of a first date that included words and phrases like “dreaded” and “my buddies forced me to go on the date”, we could assume that the individual didn’t really enjoy the date.

WHY I CHOSE THE ONE I CHOSE!

I chose this one because i want to see how this character died so that i can figure out how and when he died so that i can start to understand a bit of it so i can see what they are meaning to or are trying to say. 

I also want to figure out if he died around noon or if he died in the morning. To see if he died in the morning or afternoon I have to figure out the timestamp that the article said.I must also have someone who knows what some of the” BIG” words mean to figure out what they are trying to say.

I want to see if the story says who found the body so that i can see what they could be feeling like.This is because i want to see if he died of old age or if something else happened, like he fell and hit his head  or maybe there's something suspicious going on.

I also want to figure out what city he was in so that i can see what he saw.He could be in florida or colorado ar even china or england.

I think that i deserve a four because i answered the question and i have explained why i chose that specific part of the story.I have many reasons why i want to keep reading and i could end up loving this story like Ms.Cribby 

The mood in this would be that marley has died and scrooge is now thinking about the past. Scrooge is a person who does not like Christmas and then he met thee ghosts.

I think that  if scrooge had just liked christmas that he would had a much easier  life.

College  means -   a complex housing an institution of higher education.Employ - means to engage or hire someone. Politics - means the activities involve a state or a government.

 Aquarium means that their is a giant pool of water with sea creatures.

Divide means to take apart or separate.

Perform means to carry out an action.

Wound means an injury to feelings or pride.

The opposite of divide is unite.

I learned that village is a noun.

My Goal For Today

My goal for today is that i get better at punctuation and that i finish all of today's fireworks and fire ups so that i can get a b in language arts.If i do not raise my grade i will not be able to watch the basketball game.

I love the fact that this email is going to raise my grade and I will try my best on all of this stuff for the rest of the week.

This is going to be hard but I think that I will be able to do it and even If I do not get the best grade I will work over Christmas break to finish and raise my grade.I think that this will be progress at my language and i am already started to a great third gorter .

Email to mom

Dear mom

Today I will be talking about my grades and what I am doing.  I am going to start with language arts and then go to math then science.  Last I will be talking about geography.  After that I will do orchestra and then etc or p.e.

In language arts I have an f and I am trying to raise my grade before the end of the quarter and get the f to a c or b.  I am going to work with ms cribby so that I can see if I can raise my grades.

In math class I have a and I will try to raise my grade the best that I can and I would love to get an A.

I have a b in science and I would like to raise my grade by the end of the quarter.  If I could do anything I would do better at my work and effort.

In geography I have a b and I would get an A if I worked hard .  I also like the project that I am working on.

In orchestra I have  a B and I also like that our new project is harder and a lot more difficult to do.

In p.e I have an A in volleyball and I want to do better.

In technology I do not know my grade and I really hope that I get an A FOR ALL OF MY HARD WORK.

So today I will be talking about my grades and what I am doing in each class.

In social studies I am learning about the Western Hemisphere and what rules they had or could the king do everything he wants to do.  In language arts I am learning how to become a better writer and editor.  In math I am learning about proportional rates and ratios.  In science I am learning about the water cycle and all of the words used in the water cycle.  In orchestra I am learning about how. To play different types of notes on the violin, my grade is a A.  In pie I have a B and I am learning how to play volleyball.

In my story I am writing about a couple of scientists who are trying to study under the crust of Europa ice.  Then they are trapped and take apart their spaceship and use it to help them survive on the cold moon.  Then they find all of these creatures and the creatures teach them on how to live on Jupiter's moon.

From reading my peers ideas and stories I think that in my story at the end I could write on how they get back home by taking the parts of the ship and making a ship that can hold all of the creatures and them , so that they can take their new friends home.

I skim and scam the story and I think that Jonas is emotional about how the town has made it so that you can not see color and not allow them to see the snow or animals.

A goal for (no red ink) ,I think that I need to work on vocabulary words because i am not using them correctly . I think that my goal should be a 3-4.  That should always be the goal because if you get something lower it will ask you to do it again and retake the noredink work.

The reason that My emails are good is Because I have what is supposed to be in my “ email to mom” about all of my grades and what I am learning.  I also think that it is so good because I use a lot of paragraphs and I do not use words that I am not. Allowed to use.

I think that I have improved my emails because at the beginning of the year it was too sentences, now it is like a really long paragraph. This was the only email that I found in fireworks 3:

I think that the story was very sad and I want to help in any way I can.  I think that if I could I would donate hundreds of dollars to them if I was a billionaire.  If this happened to me I would be so thankful for the volunteers helping me because no one should have to go through pain.I  was so surprised on what the article said and it is very sad.  It is surprising that cancer or any type of cancer can hide in your body for along time without you knowing.Braden Stevenson is a sophomore at Longmont High School.  Last winter, at a routine exam, Braden fell and broke his leg. While repairing his femur,  his surgeon noticed that the bone did not look right. He  was diagnosed late in 2016 with osteosarcoma, a malignant bone cancer.To endure the events that occurred that day, as well as all that have followed, takes a special kind of strength, the strength of a fighter and of a true Happy Smackah. We are proud to announce this young man, Braden Stevenson, as our 2017 Happy Smackah.On March 1st, Braden will be undergoing the treatment he chose. He was offered three ways to fight this cancer, and he chose rotation plasty, which will essentially be an amputation of his leg above and below the knee.  His ankle will become his knee.  He’ll have a few months to heal, and then he’ll be fitted with a prosthetic.  I think that I deserve A four because I learned a lot and I got right to the topic.

In the United States, Women's History Month traces its beginnings back to the first International Women's Day in 1911. In 1978, the school district of Sonoma, California participated in Women's History Week, an event designed around the week of March 8. So to me women's history month is about that women could not do anything and they could not vote,drive a car , be in the military (etc).

A good question is both a question that your fellow students can answer and a question that requires analysis, synthesis, interpretation, and critical thinking in order to answer it. Your questions based on a particular passage should both encourage and challenge us to articulate and uncover meaning in the text.
