S: Daniel will learn how to communicate, collaborate and contribute ideas with a peer through supported typing and digital communication forums.

M: Measured through response to formative assessment, observations and diagnostic questions.

A: This goal is achievable as Daniel has demonstrated an ability to type, respond to questions and communicate via technology previously. This is assessable through:

- Homework: conversations with parents about school day
- (how your day questionnaire will be provided to parents)
- This allows the teacher to collect and analyze responses, track progress and establish difficulties.

- Response to questions: is student able to initiate conversation independently, complexity of answers, flow of the conversation (posing questions and responding)

R: It has been noted Daniel prefers to play alone and rarely engages with his peers. It is important Daniel feels accepted by his peers and is able to form and maintain friendships as this will affect his overall health and wellbeing.

T: The improvement of Daniel's communication skills will be ongoing, however this specific goal, to be achieved through digital collaboration with a peer, will occur over the course of one term (one unit of work)
