This sounds like a really interesting book and it fits perfectly with our current reading and writing units. Miss F.

In this book Penny (main character)starts a blog that she can let loose and reveal her true feelings about things, this is where she can say anything she wants , under the alias Girl Online. Then she meets a boy called Noah and suddenly Penny thinks she has made a new friend, but Noah has secret he's not sharing. My favourite part is when we get to meet Elliot which is Penny's best friend, he just seems so fun and quirky. If I could talk to the author (Zoe Sugg)I would say keep on writing you are bringing joy to the world! I would recommend this book to girls how like realistic fiction books.

Magnus Chase And The Sword Of Summer
This sounds like a really exciting book and as I read your review I thought of exactly the same person to recommend it to. Miss F

Magnus Chase is a homeless boy who is sixteen years old and it is about after he dies (through a fight) he goes to Valhalla which is a place where heroes go when they die. Magnus Chase finds out that his father ( who he never knew) is a god. Magnus Chase's dad gave his sword away and Magnus Chase has to find it. Meanwhile there is a fire god (a bad guy) called Surt who is trying to kill Magnus Chase and get the sword to free Fenris wolf (another bad guy) who has been locked away in a one of a kind really really really strong rope.
My Favourite part was when Magnus Chase and fenris wolf had the big fight, it was really nerve-raking!
The advice I would give to the author
(Rick Riordan) would be 'keep on writing books because I'll be waiting to read them!'
If I would recommend this book to anyone it would be Odin, but he's already read it, and loved it!

The Trials of Apollo
From your review it sounds like this book is quite humorous as well has having lots of action. I might try it. Miss F
The Trials of Apollo is about Apollo doing something bad, and Zeus punishes him by sending him to earth as a human. He basically lives life as a human and cannot believe how we live our lives. He makes comments like, "how do you live with this teacup of a brain? You cannot remember anything! etc.
I think my advice would be to make these book faster because I cannot bear to wait one whole year to read the next book.
I would recommend this book to Aryav because he read The Kane Chronicles, and that was by the same author.

Messi goes to school, then he joins the worst team in Rosario, Argentina, his hometown, and then gets transferred to the best team in town. He then goes to Barcelona to train for FC Barcelona, then he makes it to the A team.
My advice would be to make more biographies on soccer famous soccer players.
I recommend this book to everyone who likes soccer.

Would you recommend reading before or after reading Rick Riordan's fictional books? Miss F
This is a book talks about the Olympians, Hades, Hestia, Persephone and the Titans. It explains a lot about them such as how they were born, their parents, what they are god of and many more.
My favorite part was when it talked about the titans. But the advice to Rick Riordan is to look back because Hermes, god of travel was just born, he saw a turtle but much later on, Hermes creates the first turtle when punishing a nymph (a spirit of nature).
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in gods, greek mythology, read the other Rick Riordan books and when you're bored. But this book doesn't include every single god, only the important ones.

Magicalimtiy
What an interesting idea that fairies are actually living amongst us like human beings. I hope the dad didn't get killed! Miss F
Every one misunderstands faries, they think they are just creatures with wings and pink dresses, but they are actually more powerful and tougher, they could get electrocuted and it would only hurt them a tiny bit. Tom harding is startled to find that his dad had been keeping a huge secret from him, he was a fairy! That means he is a demisprite, a half human and half fairy. He found out when his dad had committed 2 crimes, marrying a mortal and killing Milly, his old school friend the first one was true but the second wasn't. He came to hide in the mortal world, but the faries have found him. If you break the law, you must be killed. With his three fairy godmothers 2 are criminals and one is really bad at magic, but they have to save his dad.

My favourite part of this book is quite funny it is when the faries do something called nude dancing. Sounds like an interesting book. Miss F
This book evolves around the world of a child who's relative or parent might have been injured by the Afghani war. The main character is a boy named Charlie. Having problems with his brain, he washes himself once every five minutes and lies in his bed all day when he can in full blast AC. He and his dad are bird lovers, though Charlie tries not to leave the house. When his father is shot in war Charlie gets pushed out of his comfort zone into a world of Mario, crazy brothers, sassy sisters and Worst of all Ludmila, a pink-haired, tatooed, innapropriate clothes wearing babysitter. Davis, his sister takes along Charlie and his brothers to Virginia to find their father. Along the way they get in car accidents, and other crazy things. It has such a sweet ending.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys realistic fiction.
A note to the author is that maybe she should speed up the story a little.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (rated 4.5*)

An amazing book review Elisabeth! You obviously love this book (and the movie). Definitely worth a Percy!
Miss F

The Hobbit is about a hobbit called Bilbo Baggins that is forced to leave on an adventure with 13 dwarves to reclaim their treasure and their homeland Erebor. Gandalf the Grey (he’s a wizard) chose Bilbo to go with the 13 dwarves because 13 is an unlucky number. The mere 14 of them were supposed to remove the vast and scary dragon, Smaug from under the mountain in order to get the Arkenstone (jewel of the dwarf king).

At this point I felt sorry for Bilbo to be forced to go with them because Bilbo is a home-loving Baggins who doesn’t like adventures at all! It takes Bilbo a long time to get use to the dwarves (Thorin, Dwalin, Balin, Gloin, Oin, Filli, Killi, Dori, Nori, Ori, Bifur, Bomfur, Bofur), the scary monsters (goblins, orcs, worgs, and trolls) and the elves. At the start all Bilbo did was getting them all nearly killed, but towards the end he began to be the one who saved all of them.

The journey was difficult and dangerous but somehow or other, the dwarves and Bilbo always seemed to wriggle out of all the dire situations. Bilbo is rather quick thinking, for instance, he told everyone to squeeze into barrels and float out of the elves’ dungeon. Through the adventures, Bilbo obtained two precious items – a special gold ring and a brilliant elven sword named Sting. The ring turns the wearer invisible while Sting turns blue when orgs and goblins are near.

The near-death adventures, including the death of Smaug, led them to the final battle. The terrible Battle of the Five Armies, where five armies (orgs and goblins on one side while elves, dwarves and men are on the other) fought for three days. A most treacherous battle between the good and evil.

My favorite part was the Battle of the Five Armies because it was very descriptive. My favorite character from the book is Gandalf because he’s really funny. I would rate the book 4 and a half out of five. I would recommend this book highly to people who have good imagination or people who enjoys Percy Jackson’s series.

(The movie)

The movie is different in some ways to the book but all in all I think that the movie is much better. It is also a lot longer because there are three three-hour movies. I rate all three equally awesome. There are super amazing characters like Legolas and Galadriel in the movie (although they did not appear in the book). It is also interesting how Bilbo in the movie is not ‘rotund’ (fat, round in the stomach).

The movie is funnier because the way the director (Peter Jackson) did the movie, it made the dangerous situations quite funny but not overly funny like when the orgs threatened to rip Bilbo’s arms off. Another reason I like the movie better was that the Elves in Mirkwood was really cool at fighting and made the elf characters really clear just enough to make you wonder about them and suspect things.

My favorite elf and character by far is Legolas Greenleaf (my sister and I had a big argument about his last name) because he is sooooo awesome like he can take out an entire row of orcs by hanging on to a hawk and running his double knives through them (a bit disgusting) and sacrificing his own sword for a dwarf. The Battle of the five Armies scene is also a lot bigger and makes you more on edge. My favourite part was from the part they (the dwarves) met the elves. I would rate the three movies 5 out of 5. Something else I would recommend is to read the book before watching the movies. Enjoy!

It was tense because Luke could have done anything but he decided to do the right thing.
The advice I would give to Rick Riordan is that he should work on his Grammar because sometimes I had found some typos and also in some parts I found words that didn't make sense in the sentence.
I would recommend this book to kids around 9-12 years old and also the people who like all those adventurous but also funny stories.

Geronimo Stilton And The Golden Book
Osian, I really like the way you write book reviews. You give enough information to encourage someone to read the book, but not too much to spoil it. You also use a friendly tone. Well done! Miss F
I read Geronimo Stilton and the golden book, by Geronimo Stilton! Geronimo Stilton's (who is a mouse in the story) 10th anniversary is in 2 days time with Geronimo's grandfather William coming in and telling him it (and shouting at him). Grandfather William says that he needs to thank him in the book and tell everyone that he is the key to Geronimo's story so that him and Lola Von Muenster can fall in love. Geronimo finished the story! In the morning he woke up to find that his computer was gone! He has to try and find it, somehow.
My favourite part was when He has to jump out of a aeroplane (I would tell you why but that would be a spoiler). If I met Geronimo Stilton (as the author, not the mouse) I would say 'Carry on making Geronimo Stilton books!' If you like an adventure this would be a good book for you

The last Olympian (Percy Jackson #5) by Rick Riordan (rated 4*)

(Spoiler Alert)

Wow, another great review Elisabeth! I love the way you retell the story and your advice to the author is spot on!

This is the last book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. The last Olympian is tragic but very captivating and intriguing. It is chock full of dramatic scenes like a roller coaster ride. All the battles rounded up to the Great War where the Titian Lord Kronos is attacking New York with the aid of a former friend Luke and a sea of mosters, in order to destroy Olympus. This is to avenge the Gods for having chopped him up and thrown him into the tartans pit of internal agony in the underworld.

Early on, Luke had reluctantly gone on a repeated quest to steal a golden apple and ended with a scar thanks to the dragon in the garden. He felt resentful and angry towards all the Gods especially his father Hermes who was the one who assigned him his pitiful quest. Kronos then started appearing in his dreams and convinced Luke that the Gods where only using the half bloods to do their biddings. Luke was persuaded to help Kronos come back to life. Kronos took over Luke body and lead a sea of monsters to attack New York. Kronos then bathed Luke in the River Styx to make him immortal (except for his hand that remained mortal).

Percy and Annabeth fought Kronos (who controlled Luke’s body) and were close to losing. Annabeth, who used to be Luke’s good friend, was able to convince Luke that Kronos was bad. It was too late for them. Luke knew the only way he could defeat Kronos was to kill himself by stabbing his hand and killing himself. It is so sad but Kronos was forced back in his pit of eternal agony and defeated (for the moment, monsters can’t die). However more than half the people were killed and most of the Empire State Building were destroyed. I felt really sorry for Luke because he made the wrong decision and he had to give his own life to the right thing.

My favorite part was when Percy was fighting Kronos in the building because the scenes were very creative and the author was able to make them most exciting. Rick Riordan writes in an interesting and exciting manner though he tends to over dramatize. I would recommend this series to people who like funny and adventurous stories. Someone who likes The Hobbit or Harry Potter should read this series if she wants a faster pace and lighter fun read.

( I read it on the kindle)

There are lots of bloody battles, with large numbers of deaths. There is disembowelment, beheading, snapping of necks and spines, and I think there was a part that said "Skin split like an overripe berry."

Another action packed book! I liked the way you used evidence of the humour in the book in this review.
The Lost Hero
Jason is pretty confused when he wakes upon a school bus on a trip to the Grand Canyon with no idea who he is or how he got there. Earnest Piper acts like Jason's girlfriend, and goofy Leo thinks he's Jason's best friend, but Jason can't remember either of them. Before he can ask many questions, all three are attacked by storm spirits and rescued by a Camp Half-Blood chariot. The newly revealed heroes have barely broken in their cabin bunks when they're called on a quest to rescue Hera (who knows who Jason really is) from dark forces stirring in the Earth -- giants and much more. Riding off in a metal dragon expertly fixed by Leo (Hephaestus' son, of course), the three seek out the nearly-as-dangerous wind gods to help find Hera. But Piper has another secret quest: Her father has been kidnapped by another giant who wants to trade her friends' lives for her father's freedom -- a horrible choice to make.
My favorite character is Leo, because of his wisecracking humor. This book will have you laugh of Leo's jokes. Like (SPOILER ALERT!) when he makes Coach Hedge's megaphone say stuff like
THE COW GOES MOO!
I recommend this book to Osian, because he likes Rick Riordan books.

George's marvellous medicine by Roald Dahl
I love this book. It is really funny! Great detail in this review. Well done!
This is a book about George, a 8-year old boy who lives at a farm. He lives with his dad, mom, grandma and the animals. His grandma was really mean, by the way.

One Saturday afternoon, his parents went out to do some shopping so he was home with his grandma. His grandma had to take medicine at 11, but before that grandma kept on commanding George to make her tea with 1 spoon with no milk but when she tasted the tea she told George to put more sugar, and basically acted like a nuisance. Then grandma told George to eat insects and cabbage, and acted creepy so George slammed the door to the living room (which was where grandma was at, on a chair). He decided to make a magic medicine, and he combined many ingredients together to make the magic medicine. He gave it to grandma, and she became thinner and longer and taller. But grandma though she was magical and when George said he made the medicine, grandma was like "It's my MAGIC!" To prove that it was George's medicine that did it, not grandma, he gave the medicine to a hen. The hen didn't get thinner and taller-it got fatter and bigger. Then George's parents came back home and George's dad was like "Wow, George! Feed it to the other animals!" But once he ran out of medicine, his dad insisted him to make more. But when George made it and tested it on another hen the legs grew longer. This was because he forgot some ingredients. After many trials and errors, they accidentally make a medicine that makes things grow smaller. They test it on a hen and the hen became the size of a ant. Grandma thought the cup of medicine they were giving to the hen was here tea, and she drank it ALL. She became so small and disappeared, and the story ended.

My favorite part was when George was making the medicine.

My least favourite part was the end because I expected more to be there, and the book ended on a cliff hanger.

So my advice to Roald Dahl: Don't end your books with a cliff hanger if you don't have a second bit or else your readers will be bummed.

After reading the book, I felt sorry for George when she was commanding him to make tea.

I would recommend this book to anyone who just wants to read a 30 minutes long short and fun book.

That's a good example of transforming.
This book is about a girl name Allie Finkle, she has two little brothers: one is in kindergarten, Kelvin and the other was in second grade, Mark. And she was going to a new school so she wrote down tips for if you were the new girl.

I picked this book because my family always move so I had to keep on changing schools all the time and I figure that the next time that I change school, I would use one of these tips.

My favorite part was when Allie first arrived at the school gate and Kelvin went strait to the playground where the mean - looking fifth graders were and they went up to her, she thought that they would say something like: "Why don't you and your family go back to where they came from or something like that but, they asked "Is that your brother there?: and she answered yes, and they said back " He's adorable!" and that part was very funny it reminds me of sometimes, not all bad things happen.

The advice I would give to the author is-- maybe next time, she should draw a picture of Kelvin so I could really see how cute he is.

I would recommend this book to kids that are
8 -12 years old.

The Underneath (rated 4.5*)

Kathi Appelt

Brilliant review because it really makes me want to read this book. I bet I would cry if I read it!

The story starts with a lonely calico cat left abandoned on the side of a road, with no food or water. This calico cat had wandered through trees, her swollen belly full of unborn kittens. At this point, I was already feeling rather sad. So if you’re like me, I would strongly suggest that you find a tissue, or a box, before you continue reading. Yes, this is a sad book that will definitely tug on your emotions. It will also make you think about love, courage and hard choices. Rather like the Harry Potter series but sadder.

As the cat came to a clearing, she saw a house with a narrow gap underneath, and this is how she met Ranger the hound dog. Most cats hate dogs but the two most unlikely pair became very good friends. His owner chained Ranger to the house. The calico cat would bring food for Ranger every day. Though it wasn't quite enough, Ranger was very grateful.

Ranger’s owner, Gar Face, was a cruel man. When he was young, he laced his mother’s birdbath with rat poison. For this his father out of rage slapped him of the cheek and then forth he could never again open and shut his mouth properly for his left cheek was misshaped and horrifying. People were wary of him. That’s why he was known as Gar Face. I find it nice how the author provided explanation of how Gar Face grew up to be so mean. His backstory made me slightly more sympathetic towards him.

The calico cat gave birth to two kittens that they named Puck and Sabine. They live ‘underneath’ the house. Their mother and ‘father’, Ranger, always warned them - “Don’t go out of the underneath. You will be safe in the underneath.” But Puck is a very curious cat andhe leapt out of the underneath and pranced around.

At this point, I predicted that Puck would be caught and sure enough as he turned to go back in Gar Face snatched him up. With a furious screech, the calico cat threw herself at Gar Face and she and Puck was thrown in to a bag and then thrown in to the river. I think this is one of the most tragic part in this book. Puck survived but his mother died while trying to save her son. This is when your box of tissue will come in handy.

The author has a sidetrack story running where Gar Face found a super massive, vast, humongous alligator, never been seen but known as the King Alligator. He was very determined to capture the infamous King Alligator and used Ranger as a bait. Puck and Sabine tracked Ranger down to save him. This is the most exciting scene. In short, this scene involved all of the above as well as a mystical Grandmother Moccasin who has lived for over a thousand years. This is a major turning point in the story where the path of Grandmother Moccasin crossed our three remaining heroes.

The story ended well because Grandmother Moccasin made a decision after her internal struggle and chose love over survival. She could see the strong love so clearly between the Ranger and the kittens. Grandmother Moccasin bit off the chain with her jaws and sacrificed herself to a worthy cause with the help of King Alligator. The three heroes survived but the story still ended on a sad note. Gar Face ironically, ended being lunch for the King Alligator instead of Ranger in the lake.

My favorite part was when Grandmother Moccasin chose to save Ranger because I think it was really good of her. And I like Sabine the most because she is really determined cat. It’s a really sad story but extremely well written. I enjoyed reading the book immensely, and I think Kathi Appelt was great at the heart-wrenching bits. She made you feel strongly for each of the character. The lesson learnt was that love is more powerful than hunger, anger, and resentment.

When I finished this book, I felt a mixture of strong emotions. I wondered whether Gar Face deserved his death. I have varying opinions on his death. On one hand I think that many animals and people would have benefitted from his death. On the other hand, however I think no one deserves that terrible death.

Love is an important theme in this book. It made most of the characters in ‘The Underneath’ do the brave things they did, and risk everything they had for it.

A must read for all. I would especially recommend this book to people who like unique and moving stories. I would rate the book 4.5 out of 5.

Charlie and the chocolate factory by Roald Dahl
Another classic Roald Dahl! Which book did you like best, GMM or C and CF? Again great detail!
I've read the Roald Dahl book a few times already, but it is fun to read the Roald Dahl books again.

This book is about Charlie Bucket, a boy that lives in a small house, with his 4 grandparents and his mom and dad. The family could only afford 1 bed, and it was occupied by the old folks, so Charlie and his parents had to sleep on the floor on a mattress. Only dad had a job, and he worked at a toothpaste factory, screwing caps onto the toothpaste all day long. But he doesn't earn enough money, much less half of the food 7 people needed.

Charlie's house was right next to a GIANT chocolate factory. The factory was Mr Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, the best chocolate maker in the world.

Every evening, when Charlie Bucket came home, his grandparents would tell him a story. One time, Grandpa Joe told Charlie about the chocolate factory. He told Charlie about how he asked all the workers to leave, because there were spies that acted like normal workers and would report the recipe to other chocolate makers. So Willy Wonka closed the factory and Willy Wonka hasn't been seen for months and months. And then one morning, the factory started working! The furnace was lit, and smoke was coming out of the chimney! The townspeople expected Wonka to welcome his workers back, but he didn't. So it was a mystery.

After Grandpa Joe finished, dad came running into the bedroom with a newspaper that said Willy Wonka was putting 5 golden tickets into chocolate bars. 5 children, including Charlie, found the tickets. They had a tour, but all the children except Charlie got into mischief and Charlie lasted till the end.

Willy Wonka explained that he did the Golden Ticket thing to pick the favorite child to take over the factory. So they went back to Charlie's house, picked up the bed with the grandparents and his parents onto the flying glass elevator (that they used to go to Charlie's house) and they went to the chocolate factory.

My favorite part was when Charlie found the ticket and told his grandparents, and Grandpa Joe stood up (none of the 4 grandparents has gotten up in 20 years), threw his cabbage soup into Grandma Josephine's face, and danced. I had no least favorite part, and no advice to Roald Dahl.

I would recommend to people who like Roald Dahl books, and like short reads.

Also, I enjoyed seeing how both teams were being collaborative and worked together to find a solution to rescue the endangered animals.

Rating: 9.5/10 because there were bits of the book which weren't too interesting

What Advice would I give to the author: Try and make the characters more realistic and I would like to see more animals in the wildlife pictures.

Who would I recommend it to: People who enjoy reading Geronimo Stilton & People who like Mystery with Realistic Fiction mixed in together.

Again - action packed! I liked the way you added in the author's message in this review.
Pursued by gorgons and with no memory of who he is or how he got to California -- or why, after killing the gorgons more than once, they won't just stay dead -- Percy finds his way to the entrance of a secret camp. Camp Jupiter is a special place for Roman demigods, organized neatly like an ancient Roman army. Percy arrives just in time for some serious warnings from the gods: Gaea the earth goddess is waking and has a force of monsters on the way to attack the camp in just four days. And even worse than that, Thanatos -- who usually guards the gates of death -- is chained in Alaska, where an ancient giant is also awakening. With no one to control death, no monsters will ever die. Can Percy and two new Roman friends, Hazel and Frank, make it to Alaska, free death, and get back in four days? Even for Percy, that's a tall order.
I think the message in the story is about friendship, loyalty and trust. Believing in yourself and facing your biggest fears.

TOBY ALONE
What an amazing review! I love the way you have included text to world connections and your speedboat metaphor was fantastic! I was little confused with your 'vs reality list', please could you put more detail into this part.
Toby Alone is about a boy who lives in a tree named Toby who was banished to a public fate for no reason through his parents, Sim and Maya Lolness. The reason they were isolated and Ignored, and on a death sentence, was because Sim Lolness, A very grand professor, took Toby's wooden toy and made it move, somehow. He was caught and it was declared an " Insult to the residents of the Lower Branches " that the invention was not handed in. He went for a speech at the Grand Council, in which he told the president in his face, " I choose today not to reveal the secrets of Balina. As you know, Balina was and is my son's birthday present, so now it is up to him to say if he wants you to touch it, you. President or not, we can both agree that if I reveal my secret, my grandson will never get to see this tree alive, let alone a flower. Goodbye! My duty here is now done."

I'm really spoiling what happens in the book now. Lets just say he is chased up down and all around but this thirteen year old has the grit and perseverance that is necessary. He battles love issues, red ants ( Which are HUGE in his world, he is only one millemetre tall ), Crazy men and betrayal.

VS REALITY LIST

Joe Mitch- Donald Trump
JMA Workers- Donald Trump's supporters
Grass People- Mexican factory workers/ Native Americans
Maple Sap Nonexistence-
" Hey, I'm the president, and If I say global warming is a fairy tale, then it is. "
Grass People should be worked- Mexican people should be worked
Toby- Scientists

MY ADVICE TO READERS

To read this book you need to have a lot of brain space and calmness. 99% of the time, Toby is jumping off a cliff and yelling his last words but at the same time fighting a battle with his girlfriend in a weevil's intestine. This book definitely leaves the reader on a cliffhanger, so make sure you read this book right outside Kinokunaya because I think it's the only bookstore that holds the second book too.

RATINGS
Me- 6/10
Goodreads- 8/10
Common Sense Media- 8.4/10

HOW LONG IT TAKES
Fast reader- 3-4 hours
Slow reader- 2-3 days
Medium reader- 1 1/2 days
( when I say days, it means popping in and out of the book continually. )

ADVICE TO THE AUTHOR

Timothee de Fombelle is an extremely good writer. "

Megan wants out, obviously.

VS TOBY AND THE SECRETS OF THE TREE

Toby and the secrets of the tree actually is the second book in the series, but does not act like it. The story starts all over again, which makes the book unreasonably thick, but this time the story is on fast mode. To me, it feels like I am on a speedboat. We zip across the hundreds of acres of land that I have already seen, and slow to a halt to survey the new land around us. Suddenly we're bobbing on still waters. This time I am exploring. Not recapping.

I read this story in about 5 hours. I enjoyed it tremendously:)

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
I didn't know that about his pen name! This is your best book review so far Justin - well done! You obviously really enjoyed this book but also learnt a lot from it too. Great job!
Recently, I read a book called ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’. The author of the book is Mark Twain, but that isn’t his real name, it’s just his pen name. His pen name means the mark 2, which is a missisipi river term signifing the safe depth of the water the boat is sailing in.

The story is set in America in the middle 1900’s, and the main character is a adventureous, mischevious and smart boy called Tom Sawyer. He is around ten or eleven, I’m guessing judging by his behaviour.

The story opens by Tom’s aunt, Aunt Polly, asking Tom about some missing jam. Other than that, Tom Sawyer’s adventures include tricking his friends to trade things with him so that he let them do his whitewashing, which is basically putting a layer of paint on a fence.

The main part of the story is about Tom and his friends witnessing a murder that Injun Joe commited to Dr Robinson, then blamed it on Huff Potter. At that point, Tom and his friend, Huckleberry Finn, whose nickname is Huck, were horrified. They then made a blood oath to tell nobody then decided to go ‘pirating’ with another one of Tom’s friends, Joe Harper. When they finally decide to come back, they’re just in time for their own funeral! Soon after, they decide to tell everybody about who actually commited the murder.

Not to spoil the story, the outline of all the other stories are going into a cave with Tom’s girlfriend, Becky Thatcher and going for a tresuare hunt, and the tresuare is in the hands on Injun Joe.

I like this book because it feels like to me that I have travelled to a totally, completely different time and place, and then I can find out what people are like and what they do at that place and time.

I recommend this book to naughty teenagers, because Tom does lots of thing that I think they will like, because it’s so ‘cool’, ‘rad’, and ‘bad’ (those are words I hear A LOT from teenagers). I also think it’s okay for adults, because it might give a memory of their own childhood.

My favourite part of the book is where they go “pirating” because there is lots of action and description on that part, and it’s very exciting.

I rate this book four out of five.

Lucky for you, that you have all the books in the series!
The Mark of Athena
Leo's amazing flying/sailing ship the Argo II arrives in New Rome (California) to greet Roman demigods in peace and friendship and reunite with Percy Jackson. Unfortunately, the peace and friendship part doesn't go so well. Leo gets possessed by some vengeful spirits and starts shooting fireballs everywhere, necessitating a pretty hasty exit with Percy and Romans Hazel and Frank. Now they have all seven demigods on board for the prophesied quest (plus the crazy satyr chaperone Coach Hedge), but they're also being chased by Romans across the country -- and they know where the Greek Camp Half-Blood is. There's no time for demigod infighting, though. The seven must follow the prophecy to Rome to save the world from certain destruction by garishly dressed twin giants. Luckily for Camp Half-Blood, Annabeth has another quest as well -- searching for a symbol powerful enough to restore the rift between Greeks and Romans; a symbol only a child of Athena, like Annabeth, can find.
The advice i would tell to this author would be to make these books longer, and stop leaving me on these dreadful cliffhangers. Luckily, I have the whole series with me, so I can read right up 'till the end.
I would recommend this book to Aryav, Osian, or anyone who has read the first two books.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes Rick Riordan books.

The Lost Hero
Rick Riordan
Rick Riordan definitely writes good action adventure stories. Lucky for you he has written lots so if you like this one so much you should love his others.

This is probably my favorite book that I have ever read because it is a very exciting and action packed book! I also like it because it has a lot of humor and the plot is incredible! it starts of with Jason not knowing who he is and is on a bus ride with his so called "best friend" and his so called "girl friend" but Jason knows nothing about them and who they are. my favorite character is probably Leo because he is extremely funny and sarcastic, his powers are also really cool. The stories about these three characters trying to save Hera and defeat the earth goddess GAIA. But piper has her own secret mission to save her dad but to save him she has to give her friends in return.

(SPOILER ALERT!)
My favorite part of the book is probably when they are fighting the least powerful giant who is actually extremely strong! The part is really intense especially when Jason is going against him with no weapons and is able to summon a huge lightning bolt.

Maybe the author could work on his grammar and punctuation because I found around 4-5 mistakes but otherwise it is amazing!

I would recommend this book to kids 8-15 because it is not only a kiddy story it has a lot of action and adventure in it.

Paige Week 4 The Girl Who Could Fly

Great review Paige! You have really connected with this book and thought deeply about it.
This book is about a girl called Piper. She has a dream to be like the other kids but she has a secret talent that is revealed in a baseball game. Piper can fly, ever since she was born she would hover 1 or 2 feet above the ground but then she figured out that she can actually fly! People start finding out all over the world and then a women called Leitita Hellion comes and takes her to a school for people with powers like hers. She then meets Myrtle, Conrad, Bella and many other people. Piper finds out a secret that only Conrad knows. They tell the other kids and they plan an escape. This is when Doctor Hellion reveals something to Piper that no one else knows about.

My favourite character in this book is Piper, she may not live a normal life but she is certainly one special child. Piper is someone I can relate to. I of course can not fly but I can remember when I was smaller I was considered different because of my talents.

My second favourite part in the story is when Dr Hellion reveals her secret that when she was little her powers were what caused her little sister to pass away. I thought that this was so crucial to the book as it touched my heart, it was so sad to read but at the same time so exciting to read.

My second least favourite parts is when Dr Hellion tries to completely drain the life out of Piper because this makes me really realise how terrible Dr Hellion really is.

My least favourite character is Dr Hellion, she is a bad person, first she tries to separate children from the parents, then she is trying to drain all the energy out of them! Although Dr Hellion is a bad person she gives the book some funny and sad scenes.

My favourite part is when Piper is in the sky with Dr Hellion. This made me really excited for what was to come, in the end it was really sad to hear Dr Hellion's reason for why she takes away the powers as she has powers her self.

My advice to the author is to keep on making these exciting stories like this one. I think that your style of writing will catch your reader's eye. I think that Piper is such a relatable character.

I would recommend this to someone who loves evil characters with sad backgrounds, and to someone who likes fun quirky relatable characters.

I would give the author some advice to make the robbery more detailed. I would recommend this Miss F.

Title of book: Slake's Limbo: 121 Days
This books sounds really interesting. Did it tell you anything about Slake's family? Weren't they worried about him being missing for 121 days?
This book is about a boy named Slake who is constantly bullied. When he is bullied he goes to the subway to get away. One day while going there he runs on to the tracks. He is afraid and he tries to find a place to hide. He finds a cave in the wall and starts to live there. He stays there for 121 days. Over the days he learns to sell newspapers and get free food. When it's Christmas he gets a job of sweeping the floors in exchange for whatever food he wants. SPOILER ALERT, at the end a train crashes and his cave is going to be closed off. He writes a sign on his cave that says stop and goes onto the tracks. I'm not completely sure what happens there but he fainted and a train conductor finds him on the edge of the tracks. He gets brought to the hospital and he enjoys it there because he can get food whenever he wants it.
My favourite parts are when he is making business by cleaning up and selling newspapers. My least favourite part is when Slake is being bullied.
I would tell the author that he should make the book longer as it is very short.
I would recommend this book to people who like books about people surviving without much money and people living through bullying.

I think the author should of spent a tiny bit more time specifying the characters interests. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes... well reading about someone else's life

I think I might have to read this book!
Dog Man is half dog, half human. The creation of dog man is a bit silly though. There was once never a dog man, it was only a dog and a police officer. But then, a evil cat set a bomb off and shouted "Help! A bomb!" And then ran off while the police officer and the dog ran to it And before they knew it they were blown up. They got taken to hospital, but the thing was, the dogs head was fine but his body wasn't. And the police officer's body was fine but his head wasn't. So they had a big operation and they doctor cut the police officers head off and sewed the dogs head on the cops body. Ta Da!

My favourite part was the creation of dog man.

Groovy Greeks
This book is a non-fiction book. This book explains the almost entire history of the Greeks, Trojans and others. My favorite parts were: how to make a flamethrower, the horse of Troy and lastly the story of the gods (also called bringing up the baby).

The first part explains how to make a flamethrower. To make it, the materials needed are: a pair of bellows, rope, a stick, a small container, a bamboo stick and very, very hot coal. To make, it, you first hollow out the insides of the bamboo stick and attach it with rope onto the pair of bellows, the wind-blowing bit of the bellow in the middle hollow part of the bamboo. Then, tie the regular stick onto the bamboo stick with rope and make sure that the regular stick is longer than the bamboo. Then, tie more rope to the far end of the regular stick, and tie the container onto more rope. Now, the container should be close up front to the bamboo. The last step is to put the very, very hot coal in the container. The container has to be open for the flamethrower to work. When you’ve done all that, pump the bellows. The air will go to the very, very hot coal and fire will come out!

The second part tells the story about the horse of Troy. In the war between the Greeks and the Trojans, the Greeks were making a plan to ambush Troy. They couldn’t think of anything until Odysseus thought of an idea. They built a massive wooden horse and loaded the inside with soldiers. They pushed the horse (which had wheels, of course) to the outside of the Greek walls. The Greeks thought it was a present, so they brought it into the city. When inside, the soldiers poured out of the wooden horse at night and attacked the Greeks.

The last part is the story about Cronos, the head god and his babies. At the start, Mrs. Cronos had a baby. Cronos was afraid that the baby would overthrow him, so he ate the baby. After that he ate baby after baby until the last one, Zeus. Mrs. Cronos wrapped a rock in Zeus’ cot. When Cronos ate the rock, he puked out all the babies he’d eaten (including the rock) and the babies overthrew him. The three main babies (now adults) were Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Zeus ruled the sky, shooting lightning and flying on clouds. Poseidon ruled the oceans, whipping up massive waves and causing tsunamis. Hades ruled the underworld, casting zombies from the dead and poking live humans with his two-pronged fork (like a demon’s weapon, but with two horns, not three).

A suggestions I would give to the author is to add more information about the other states, like the Romans and Trojans and Athenians. I recommend this book to people who liked history from a long time ago. I rate this book four and a quarter out of five.

He didn't know where it had come from.

Later that evening Stanley was in court because everyone thinks he stole the shoes and later found out they were at least a few hundred dollars. Stanley had a choice of going to camp green lake or jail. He chose camp green lake. But it was the wrong decision. This story is about Stanley having to dig holes everyday until his hands were bleeding and him coping with it and what he does to maybe stop the child abuse they are trying to cope with.

My favourite part was (Spoiler Alert!) When Stanley and Zero ran away from the camp.

If I met the author I would say to him 'Is there going to be another book coming out?

I wasn't expecting her to miss the plane! What happened with her talent when she got home? Who would you recommend this book to?
This is a book about a girl called Melody who is disabled. She has a hidden talent that no one else knows about. Melody is smart, not just above average but well over anybody in her grade. Mrs Valencia lives next door to Melody, Mrs Valencia is meant to look after Melody after school as Melody's parent's work schedule overlap. Later in the book Melody gets a machine that lets her communicate with others, the reason why it took so long to get one was because they cost a lot and some of the machines did not have buttons that were big enough for melody. this allows melody to take part in a test that will show how smart she is. In this test a few people will participate, once they have finished the test the top few people will go into a competition that has a few different schools competing. Since the competition is in Washington DC the competitors have to go on a plane. A few days later she gets to the airport then realising that the flight has been moved to an earlier time and that the plane has already taken off!

Title: Out of my Mind
Author: Sharon M. Draper
Well done, Nishtha! A good summary of the story and I now understand about the connection with Wonder. I loved your recommendation part!
About the book: An 11 year old girl Melody has a disease called Cerebral Palsy. It basically means that you have certain disabilities from your brain and physical movement. She has never gone to a REAL elementary school so she was super nervous to start grade 5. At the beginning people thought she was absolutely strange but then Melody made a Best Friend called Rose. She also started to make some "Frenemies" who is Claire and Molly. After a few months of being in that school she found a way to communicate; Through a computer!! I was really happy to find that out and people could finally hear how she really felt. Then something the Whizz team comes on. It is a team of kids who answer difficult questions about different types of subjects. So she decided to work with her BabySitter (Ms V) to help out with these questions. She studies really hard and SPOILER ALERT!! Ends up going onto the whizz team! I was super happy for her and her family. If you didn't know her family includes her Dad, Mom, Herself, Penny the little sister, & Butterscotch the dog.

My Favourite Part & Emotional Part: Was when Melody's sister Penny got hit by a car and she ended up being ok! Penny only had a few surgeries and has survived the accident. I really got touched to that part because I couldn't imagine if MY sibling would get into a situation like that. I felt slightly annoyed that the mum wasn't understanding how to warn Melody.

Advise to the author: I would make it less tragic because I feel like younger readers will be confused about what is happening through the book.

Recommendation: People who might have disabilities and feel like giving up. This would be super inspiring to them and I would give a 8/10 through this book. I also read it with my book club members! Maya, Miranda, & Me!

The House of Hades
Another classic Rick Riordan, full of adventures, monsters and mythology. This one is a bit scary though. Did you enjoy it as much as the others?
Seven demigods on an ultimate quest to keep the Earth goddess Gaea from rising again hit the most dangerous leg of their journey so far. At least, Annabeth and Percy do when they fall straight into the underworld of Tartarus. They must cross the most miserable place imaginable, which is teeming with scary monsters, and somehow get to the Doors of Death on the other side without being noticed by all those scary monsters. Their guide: Bob the janitor, a now-jovial giant whose mind was erased of all demigod-related ill will in the Lethe River. He can wield a broom against evil enemies like nobody's business. Still flying along in the Argo II, Leo's fabulous ship, are the rest of the demigods who have promised to meet them on the outside of the Doors of Death. They only have a couple of weeks to get to the town of Epirus at the House of Hades, where the living try to connect with the dead. Standing in their way: mountain giants hurling rocks, giant hungry turtles, jilted wind gods, flying twin dwarves who love shiny things, cow-like monsters that spew poisonous gas...the list goes on. Everyone must use his or her talents to get to the Doors of Death on time, or the monsters will keep coming into the mortal world, and Percy and Annabeth could be stranded on the other side forever.
My favorite part is when Hazel and Leo go through the Labyrinth, and Hazel uses The Mist to outmaneuver Phasiphae, the evil sorcerer.
I would recommend this book to Aryav, because he is reading the current series.

The Fortune Wookie
Book 3 of Tom Angleberger's Origami Yoda series,
I've read the first two books of this series but not this one. Is it as funny as the others?
THE SECRET OF THE FORTUNE WOOKIEE picks up where Darth Paper Strikes Back left off. Origami Yoda's creator and voice, Dwight, has begun attending a private school (Tippett Academy), where students are taught to "understand our differences." However, constantly being told he's "special" seems to have deflated Dwight's whole personality. Back at McQuarrie Middle School, narrator Tommy's girlfriend, Sara, has a "Fortune Wookiee," a folded paper "cootie catcher" that fills in for Dwight's Origami Yoda when kids need advice. The kids wonder: Is the Force also in the Fortune Wookiee? Can they trust it? Why doesn't Dwight seem like Dwight anymore? Meanwhile, as the kids deal with the day-to-day perils of middle school, there's a serious situation brewing that will affect education at McQuarrie as they know it.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has read one of the previous books. No advice, since the book is really good itself

shredder man book 2
A very detailed review here Yoshi - well done! I really loved the way you connected it to the lesson with Miss Z. Great job!
it was one fine morning when Nolan reached school and there was a big commotion so Nolan asked a near by person and asked what happened and people said some body spray painted Mr. greens van with bright red spray paint with a big dummy's face that said du -uh on it.
Mr. green was so angry Nolan couldn't believe it was Mr.green because he has never seen Mr.green so angry, and to Mr. green this van is very precious to him because he says he has some kind of connection to it.
As again Nolan is shredder man so for the next few days he searched and tried to find clues, on the first day when Mr.green asked people to volunteer to help him find clues about his van Nolan when to the bathroom where Bubba always has his meeting with his friends so he waited to find any clues when he heard Max say to Bubba tell us we won't tell anybody else and Nolan knew that Bubba was some way involved in the incident. the next day another picture was spray painted on the bridge next to the shopping mall so he raced there and he spotted boys from his school and he knew some of them they were the principals son and bubba bixy he saw them do high fives and they all said du-uh and Nolan suspected the five school boys from his school. One night when the Bryant family were eating dinner dad got a call from sergeant Kubb to help them find the suspect ( since his dad is the editor of the news paper in this town ) so during the car ride nolan explains what he has found about the suspects so far and dad says he will keep them a secret. During the next few days he takes his secretly converted backpack to school and tries to find more clues about the incident as nolan keeps up with his website shredderman.com
he manages to find a sneaky way of getting the principal's child to spray paint his mothers on car.

I thought there was a connection between this book and what we learnt from Ms.z today in class look at images deeply and when Nolan looked carefully noticing all the details in the image that the principal's child was getting all the high fives from his 4 other mates so he suspected the principal's son was spray painting around the town.

My favorite part was when Nolan sneakily sent an email to Bubba Bixy saying that what if the spray painter sprayed his own mother's car which he knew Bubba was going to tell the principal's son and the principal's son was going to do it early before anybody comes in to school so Nolan hid inside a rubbish bag and videoed the pricipal's son spray painting the car.

an advice to the author will be show not tell because he always tells what's happening rather than showing.

I would recommend this book to people who enjoy's realistic fiction and about a ongoing problem

Justin week 5
Note: Although I already read book 2, 3, 4 and 5 of this series, I decided to write this one instead.
This book is about two teenaged twins; Conner and Alex Bailey. They went to a normal school, had a normal Mom (their Dad died in a accident) and therefore, lived a regular life. But one fateful day, Alex found out that a book her grandmother wrote was stranger than any other regular book. The book was about every popular fairy tale character living their lives and having adventures. Alex found that the book was acting like a portal; pencils went into the book like a black hole. After a few days, Alex decided to tell her brother, Conner. Conner and Alex went into the book, but they couldn’t find their way out. Later, they encountered a friendly frogman, which Conner nicknamed Froggy, but (SPOILER ALERT!) his real name was Prince Charlie, (SPOILER ALERT!) the lost brother and prince of the Charming family. Froggy told the twins that they needed a spell called the wishing spell to wish them back home. From that part onwards, Conner and Alex have multiple adventures along the way and make more new friends. The book Conner and Alex had travelled to was basically the future of all the fairy tale characters; Little Red Riding Hood becomes a Queen, Goldilocks becomes a wanted fugitive and much more. But as the twins collect the items for the potion, the Evil Queen whose real name is (SPOILER ALERT!) Evly also looks for the items for the potion. Her wish is to (SPOILER ALERT!) free the man in the mirror, because he is the Evil Queen’s love. At the end, Conner, Alex, Froggy, Red, Goldilocks, the Huntsman, the Huntswoman and the Big Bad Wolf Pack all engage in a big fight in the Evil Queen’s castle. At the end, the man in the mirror escapes the mirror but dies, the Evil Queen gets stuck in the mirror, the Hunters die, the Big Bad Wolf Pack dies and Goldilocks gets injured, but other then those, everyone else is ok. At the end, Conner and Alex find out that the Fairy Godmother (SPOILER ALERT!) Who is basically the president of the place is their grandmother. The FG (Fairy Godmother) brings Conner and Alex back home.

My favourite part of the book is when Jack, Goldilocks, the Huntsman and the Huntswoman are all fighting in the Evil Queens castle. I like that part because it puts everything so interesting and detailed it seems almost real.

I like this book because of the realistic-fantasy, which is like a fantasy, but if you look deeper it has some realistic elements, for example in the part Alex had to climb Rapunzel’s tower. It means that Alex is accomplishing something she never did before. I also like it because it’s funny and I like the characters.

The advice I give to the author is to give more description about the non-main characters.

I recommend this book to people who like fantasy or fairy tales.

I rate this book five out of five.

I like the way your writer's voice and humour comes out in your reviews.
It's almost the end of the world. Again. But in this installment of the Kane Chronicles series, it's a battle between the force of chaos -- the giant snake Apophis, who's about to break out of his prison -- and the Ma'at, or order. Brother-sister team Carter and Sadie are convinced that the best way to fight Apophis is by waking the sun god, Ra. But first they have to find three torn parts of a scroll to work the spell, recover Ra's boat in the Duat, and, of course, find Ra himself, who retired eons ago. All this by the spring equinox, just days away. But the House of Life isn't convinced that Ra is the one who will save the day and is threatening to come after Carter, Sadie, and all their new magic students training in Brooklyn. Some of the gods aren't gung-ho about Ra's return either -- and of course it's always the scary ones with big teeth and claws who are ready to pick a fight.
I love this story, because of Carter and Sadie's ambition. Of course, who wouldn't want to stop the end of the world?
I would recommend this to any people who are gung-ho about Egypt

Carter and Sadie Kane, teen leaders of the Brooklyn house of magicians, are doing their best. They've got a crazy plan and only two days to enact it. The only way Apollo can reclaim his rightful place on Mount Olympus is by restoring several Oracles that have gone dark. What is affecting the Oracles, and how can Apollo/Lester do anything about them without his powers? After experiencing a series of dangerous–and frankly, humiliating–trials at Camp Half-Blood, Lester must now leave the relative safety of the demigod training ground and embark on a hair-raising journey across North America. Fortunately, what he lacks in godly graces he’s gaining in new friendships–with heroes who will be very familiar to fans of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus series.
Calvin and Hobbes: The Days are Just Packed

By Bill Watterson
Calvin and Hobbes is a comic book, but this comic is actually a really good book because it refers a lot to some kids. This book is basically a collection of Calvin, who's the main characters' "adventures". Some stories in this book include: using mushy apples to attack Susie, a girl in Calvin's class. Calvin and Hobbes, Calvin's toy tiger (but to Calvin, it's a real, living thing(I'm guessing that Hobbes turns back into a toy when someone else comes then changes back when they leave)), trying to ignore the monsters under his bed and much more. My favorite story was when Calvin had to write a story for his assignment, and travelled two hours forward in time to ask 8:30 Calvin for the homework he wrote. But then he realized that 8:30 Calvin didn’t do their homework because it was too late and he had to go to bed. So then 6:30 and 8:30 Calvin go to 7:30 to retrieve their homework, but 7:30 Calvin also didn’t do it. They got into a fight, but then 7:30 Calvin explained that if they hurted him, only the 8:30 one would get hurt. Meanwhile, 6:30 and 8:30 Hobbes wrote a story for Calvin. The next day, when Calvin brought the assignment to school he realized the story was criticising him, so he went home and fought (again) with Hobbes, even though he got a A+. I like this book because it’s funny towards children and some adults too. Another reason I like it is that it refers a lot to a child’s life, and makes a connection between the child reader and Calvin. I recommend this book to anyone, and therefore rate this book five out of five.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
This book is about a girl named Alice. One day, Alice saw a rabbit with a waistcoat and a watch go down a rabbit hole. She followed after the rabbit because she never saw a rabbit with a waistcoat and watch before, and thought it was very strange. When she got to the bottom of the rabbit hole, she ate cakes and drank things to shrink and grow, and she did that because she wanted to get into the tiny door at the bottom of the rabbit hole. During this process, she met a mouse, that she called Mouse and they chatted for a while about Dogs and Cats (that conversation really offended Mouse) and why Mouse hated Dogs and Cats so much. Later, Alice got through the door and she got into Wonderland, a world where everyone is crazy and nothing makes sense. At the middle of the book, Alice met the queen of Wonderland; the Queen of Hearts, a really bad tempered queen that chopped off people’s heads when she felt liked it. When I read those parts, I felt scared because of the bad-tempered queen. The queen could also relate to other people in real life, except not as intense as the queen (they don’t chop heads). At the end, her sister woke Alice, and realized Wonderland was just a dream/nightmare.

The main characters in this book are: Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the King of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit and Gryphon. All of them are crazy except for Alice.

I liked this story because I found out that the book is very linked with the game of chess, for example the Queen of Hearts and the Queen in chess: the Queen of Hearts is the queen and can go anywhere, same for the Queen in chess, she can go anywhere on the board. The Queen of Hearts is the most powerful character in the story, and the Queen is the strongest piece in chess. The King of Hearts and the King: The King of Hearts isn’t as powerful as the Queen of Hearts, but is also kind of strong. Although he isn’t the strongest, he is the most important out of them all, same for the King in Chess and so on.

I liked all the parts of this book except the end, because I don’t like when I read a whole book and realize all the adventures and excitements are all fake, and just a dream. I think it makes the book more boring, knowing everything that happened isn’t real and therefore never actually happened.

I recommend this book to people whom like crazy worlds and talking animals.

I rate this book four out of five.

Billionare Boy
This book is about a boy named Joe Spud, and is the richest boy in the whole world. He became this rich at the age of 8, when his Dad made the company ‘Bumfresh’. Bumfresh was a brand of toilet paper, which was moist on one side and dry on the other. The brand of toilet paper was a giant hit, and the Spud family became rich. When Joe became rich, he got everything, but all he really wanted was a friend, so his Dad, who now thought that the solution for everything was money, paid some people to be his friend, and hurt Joe a lot. But at the start of the story, Joe made a friend called Bob on a local comp. They became friends when Joe paid Bob $50 in a cross-country race for Bob to be last and him to be second-last. At the end of the story, a girl named Lauren came to the local comp, and became friends with Joe. But Joe didn’t know that Lauren actually was an actor, paid to be his friend by his Dad. When he found out, Lauren had already left, and he yelled at his Dad that the solution for everything wasn’t money. Then, he ran away, and during his escape, Bumfresh was losing money because it was making people’s behinds purple. After all their money was gone, Joe and his Dad learnt the true meaning of friendship, family and love (last one was for Joe’s Dad, and that part isn’t really important). The Postscript told the future lives of the characters. Joe’s Dad got married to Bob’s Mom (Bob’s Dad died of cancer) and Joe and Bob became stepbrothers. Lauren’s acting career was going badly, Sapphire, Joe’s Dad’s old wife, which was the fake one I wrote above, Joe’s Dad and Raj made new chocolates and snacks that they hoped would make them zillionaires and others that don’t really apply to the story.

My favorite part of the story was the cross-country race, because there was a lot of dialogue and emotions (e.g. hesitation) and I liked that.

I like this book because it relates to a rich kid’s real life, and explains all the details of being a rich kid in the modern days.

I recommend this book for people who like exciting and realistic-fiction stories or for people who like stories about rich people’s lives.

I rate this book four and a half.
