Introduction

The theme I brought out from Night, by Elie Wiesel, is family. I found family to be a huge theme throughout the entire story. Elie and his father were as close as can be. During this tough time, family was all they really had, so they had to look after each other. The connection of family between them really helped them live through the horrors. Without each other, I do not believe that they would have survived for that long. And I think that Elie would not have survived without his father.

I think this idea of family is still very important today. Family is the most important thing in most people’s lives. Though, family is often under appreciated. People may not realize how important their loved ones are to them until they are gone. And unfortunately, tragedies do happen. People may lose their loved ones in the matter of seconds. And it is probably the most painful thing in the world. I want my viewers to feel appreciative of the family they have. I want them to realize how family can do so much for you, as Elie’s father had done for him. I want to motivate people to spend their time wisely, because you never know.
