The last few weeks have been interesting in the development of the project.

I’ve been working hard on developing the idea, discovering new techniques and playing with them. It’s resulted in some new works that may or may not become part of the project in the end but this project is evolving all the time and I’m enjoying the cerebral journey it is taking me on.

Today I took an impromptu trip over to the mother with some friends with no intention to film or produce but it did result in an exciting opportunity to take some photos and footage of some secret places.

“In a dérive one or more persons during a certain period drop their usual motives for movement and action, their relations, their work and leisure activities, and let themselves be drawn by the attractions of the terrain and the encounters they find there… But the dérive includes both this letting go and its necessary contradiction: the domination of psychogeographical variations by the knowledge and calculation of their possibilities.“ Guy Debord, Theory of the Dérive 1956
