This 3-day hackathon day camp is specially designed for students who are exploring their post-secondary options and are considering the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) and Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) into Humanities & Social Sciences-related diploma programmes. Participants will be able to: 

• Gain early exposure to polytechnic learning and Temasek Polytechnic’s vibrant campus life 

• Explore all 3 diplomas in HSS (Diploma in Psychology Studies, Diploma in Gerontology Studies, and Diploma in Early Childhood and Development Education) 

• Work collaboratively using design thinking frameworks to address real-world social issues

• Present and pitch ideas to Temasek Polytechnic lecturers and student leaders 

Day 1 is specially curated for PFP-eligible students, focusing on early exposure to polytechnic learning and understand the various clusters offered at PFP@TP. 

Days 2 and 3 are designed for students who are considering Humanities & Social Sciences diploma pathways in the upcoming Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) cycle in June 2026. 

We strongly encourage potential PFP students to attend all three days of the programme to gain the full experience, participate in the hackathon, and engage with diploma-specific activities.

About this programme

Step into the fast-paced world of a Security Operations Centre (SOC) and experience what it’s like to be on the frontline of cyber defence. About the Programme

DDC 2026 is an interactive two-day camp held at NYP, where students take on the role of outbreak investigators to uncover the source and spread of a fictional disease outbreak in a school setting. 

Through a combination of:

• Scenario-based investigation activities

• Hands-on laboratory sessions

• Guided tours of NYP facilities — School of Health and Social Science & School of Applied Sciences

• Presentations and discussions

Students can expect to: 

• Develop an understanding of how outbreaks occur and are managed 

• Apply scientific reasoning, analyse and contain disease spread 

• Gain exposure to higher-level laboratory practices beyond the school curriculum 

• Explore potential education and career pathways in healthcare and applied sciences
