I dissolved the governed body multiple times without their permission and quickly escalated which resulted in the English Civil War in 1642. I am Oliver Cromwell and I was a Puritan military leader during the English Civil War and from my success they crowned me the Lord Protector where I ruled England till 1658. I changed the government of England by abolishing the monarchy and establishing the Commonwealth. I'm also known for playing a part in the execution of James I and obviously for ruling England as a military dictator .

When Cromwell died I returned to England and restored the Monarchy . During this time there was a fair share of problems, there was The Great Fire of London and and a resurgence of the Black Plague.

With England being a majority Protestant, another Catholic King upset them and I faced a lot of challenges regarding religion and because of that, the Glorious Revolution of England began. Unlike my father I was raised a Protestant and when they overthrew my father they asked myself and William to rule jointly as a Protestant alternative. Our reign is known for the passing of the English Bill of Rights in 1689 which officially limited the monarchy.
