Youth Opportunity - Sea Scout Ship 1959

The Seafarers Foundation, in partnership with the Sea Scouts and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, is now recruiting youth ages 14–20 for Sea Scout Ship 1959, “Commitment.”

This engaging program offers hands‑on maritime experiences, leadership development, seamanship training, and mentorship from Coast Guard Auxiliary members and seasoned mariners. Sea Scouting is open to all youth—no prior boating experience required. Our inclusive approach welcomes young people from diverse backgrounds and provides a safe, supportive environment where they can build confidence, explore STEM and maritime pathways, and strengthen their connection to the community.
